A Doomsday Scenario
Consider this a doomsday scenario for Maryland:
Say North Carolina (plays Duke), Miami (plays NC State) and Clemson (plays South Carolina) all win Saturday. And say Maryland loses, and Virginia Tech beats Boston College in the ACC title game. Here is one way things could unfold:
Orange: Virginia Tech
Peach: Florida State
Gator: Georgia Tech
Orlando: Clemson
Nashville: Boston College (not allowed to slip any further)
Charlotte: North Carolina
San Francisco: Miami
Boise: Maryland

where's Wake Forest? they're bowl-eligible and you don't have them listed. or are you saying they go to the Eagle Bank Bowl?
also, imagine if NC State also wins on Saturday, making it 10 teams eligible. could MD then be left without a bowl game?

Here's a thought... how about the Terps just beat BC and not worry about what the other teams do? I think scoreboard watching has gotten them in enough trouble already.
