A Slippery Start
We're just over two minutes into the game and already, the wet field conditions are playing a role. Darrius Heyward-Bey slipped as he made a catch on the Terps first play from scrimmage. Not a big deal.
Then long snapper Andrew Schmitt snapped the ball way over punter Travis Baltz's head. Baltz chased after the ball, scooped it up and dove into the end zone to give North Carolina a saftey. A little bit bigger deal.
