Halftime Thoughts

The Terps trail, 15-14, at the break. The tailback tandem of Da'Rel Scott and Davin Meggett, as well as improved run blocking from the offensive line, has kept Maryland in the game. Scott has 76 yards on 16 carries, while Meggett has 70 yards on 11 carries. Each player has made it into the end zone.

The defense has given up occassional big plays that allowed North Carolina to slide into scoring position. At the same time, the Terps also have made critical stops when backed up in their own red zone to limit the Tar Heels to field goals.

Look for the lead to change three or four more times in the second half.
