Obama, McCain, Election and Football

Back by popular demand, we bring you one final politics and football poll because of today’s election. Everyone knows the drill by now. Today’s showdown between Barack Obama and John McCain most resembles which college football game this weekend? Interpret the question any way you would like. Comments of all sorts are encouraged. There will be no recount! There will be no mention of William Ayers! Vote early and often!

My choice is Alabama at LSU. Like Obama, Alabama has emerged as a national force faster than anyone had anticipated. Like the Republican party, LSU has been in power for some time, and while it is not is not the stronger team in this year’s matchup, it could still win on any given day. Alabama likely will win, but just like today's election, networks are likely to wait until making a projection. If Les Miles says, "The fundamentals are sound, my friends," then I know I made the right pick!

Baylor at Texas. It's going to be an absolute bloodbath. Maybe even Utah State at Boise State.
