Rankings Are Out, Terps Are In. Again.
Gotta check out these AP rankings.
Maryland is ranked No. 22, the highest-ranked ACC team. Hard to believe that would happen after Middle Tennessee, after Virginia, even after Virginia Tech 10 days ago.
No ACC team in the top 20.
But five teams --- Maryland, Miami, North Carolina, Boston College and Georgia Tech --- are between 22 and 28.
The biggest problem for Maryland is Florida State received 11 votes and is 31st -- which means the Seminoles will be unranked next week. Maryland is only 3-3 against unranked teams this season.
The good news is that the game is at Byrd Stadium, where the Terps have not lost this season.
Once again, who knows.

I think too much is made of this "vs. ranked opponents" thing. The bottom line is that Maryland plays better at home than on the road. Their only road win was against Clemson and they played terrible. Their only bad home game was a victory against Delaware and they had Steffy at QB.
