The Running Game

For Maryland fans, it may be painful to be reminded once again, but the Terrapins ran for minus-12 yards against Virginia Tech and allowed unheralded Darren Evans to rush for a school-record 253 yards. Yes, I told it would be painful.

On Saturday, will it be more important for Maryland to run the ball better or to stop the run more? The easy answer is both, but there are no easy answers here. So you only can pick one choice. My answer would be to run the ball better. Maryland won’t be able to sustain an offense without running the ball. That means time of possession suffers and the defense becomes more fatigued and eventually breaks down anyway. But you be the judge.
