Weather and Rankings
Yesterday was a frigid day in College Park, where I watched the first five periods of practice with a few other writers. Way too cold for November. Is it way too cold for Bobby Bowden and Florida State? Here is a quick weather update for the game. It is bound to change for Saturday:
High of 39 degrees, with a low of 25.
Among the things we debated while watching practice was where Maryland would be ranked if the Terrapins win the next four games, which would include an Orange Bowl victory. That would mean probably beating two more ranked teams, at least. And it would probably mean beating a Boise State, Utah or Cincinnati in the Orange Bowl.
I think Maryland could climb to around No. 13, but not too much higher. Anyone care to disagree?
