Burney Out 3-6 Weeks
Gary Williams just announced sophomore forward Jerome Burney will miss the next 3-6 weeks with a stress fracture in his right foot. Burney complained of soreness in the foot after practice Tuesday and underwent an MRI exam this morning.
Burney previously had to redshirt his freshman season in 2006-07 with a foot injury, though Williams said he was not sure if it was the same foot that currently is injured.
"It's a shame because he's already sat out a year," Williams said. "Hopefully he'll get back quickly."
Burney has averaged 6.9 minutes per game this season. He played 11 minutes Sunday night against George Washington and registered three rebounds.
