Terps' Weekend: Which Was Worse?
After the euphoria of Thursday's basketball victory over Michigan State, Maryland fans had a rough holiday weekend, obviously. A 1-2 record in Orlando, with a win over a top-10 team, is something most followers would have accepted beforehand if offered, but Sunday's thrashing at the hands of neighbor Georgetown certainly eclipsed any satisfaction from the trip, at least in the short term.
In much the same way, many football fans would have settled for a 7-5 record this season, had that been a take-it-or-leave-it offer in August. But after the Terps were entertaining thoughts of the ACC championship game just 10 days ago, a bowl game discussion of "Boise vs. Detroit" seems pretty deflating. So we ask ...

Eric/Steve - Has a MD official (ie Debbie Yow or her representative) stated that the Terps will not play in the Eagle Bank bowl due to final exams or has that only come from the coach? Just wondering because if I'm Maryland and the option would be to "accomodate" exams for the players vs. having NO fans in Boise, I'd see what I could work out with the academic leadership of the University.
