The Showdown Is Upon Us
It's nearly time for the big rematch you've all eagerly been waiting for. After a 10-day hiatus, the Terps will return to the hardwood tonight at 7:45 to take on American at Comcast Center. Last season, the Eagles contributed to a dreary December in College Park by pulling off a 67-59 victory. But this, as Gary Williams likes to remind us, is a new season.

hclark1 posted the same on Yanda's story - he needs to get a life. He's mad that Terps beat UNC last season on the court, this year on the gridiron, on the pitch (soccer). Terps win tonight and keep their focus going headed into ACC play!! Go TERPS!!!

It's a bit of a tough pill to swallow that we're even having this discussion. But I support Maryland playing local teams. I think it's good for basketball in the area even though the loss last year was a really bad loss for Maryland and probably kept them out of the NCAA tourney. I guess if you're an AU fan it was equally good for their team and a great job they did making it to the NCAAs last year. We have a strong college basketball community here in the DC area. One way to keep it that way is for the local teams to play each other.
