Jin Soo Kim Reinstated

Steve is in the car and will have more on this later, but he asked me to share that freshman forward Jin Soo Kim has been granted a waiver by the NCAA and his eligbility has been restored, effective immediately.

Kim, who is enrolled in a university program available to students for whom English is a second language, was decalred academically ineligible before Tuesday's game against Boston College, but his appeal to the NCAA was upheld.

Kim, a 6-foot-7 small forward, was expected to provide a long-range shooting presence for the Terps this season. He has played in 15 games this season, averaging 6.8 minutes, 1.7 points and 1.2 rebounds per appearance. He was shooting 29.0 percent from the field and 18.8 percent from three-point range.

Like I said, expect more from Steve soon.

Good for Kim good for MD. Maybe this good bounce will give the Terps a little boost in morale/confidence.
