Threads From N.C.
I'm about to board a flight to Raleigh, but while I wait I wanted to pass along some of the headlines surrounding today's Maryland-Duke game.
The Raleigh News & Observer took a quick look at Greivis Vasquez's love affair with Cameron Indoor Stadium. It also pointed out in a different piece that Duke likely will ascend to No. 1 in the nation should it defeat the Terps today.
Yesterday, the News & Observer profiled swingman Gerald Henderson and his path to becoming a more assertive player.
"He's taken that role of putting the team on his shoulders," N.C. State coach Sidney Lowe told the News & Observer. "Henderson is the guy that really sets the tone. He's flying to the basket. He's dunking. He's getting blocked shots.
"He's a heck of a player. His mental toughness is what I admire ... just the way he goes about the game."
