Bad News for Bubble Teams

Wow. One of the craziest games I have seen this week. Let's just send the entire SEC to the CBI. What a conference.

Mississippi State earns the automatic berth by winning the SEC tournament. So the committee will now take out the team that had earned the last at-large berth. Who gets the bid taken away? Is it Saint Mary's, Creighton, Arizona, San Diego State, Penn State? Probably one of those teams.

I still think Maryland makes the cut, but it is even closer now. If and when Maryland makes the field, it can thank Baylor for losing the Big 12 final. And San Diego State's loss in the Mountain West final could be a blessing too if SDS misses the field.

Wow, I am going to sequester myself in a dark room for the next 18 minutes to decide which team to take out: Saint Mary's or Penn State. I seem to like Penn State more than most.

I'm not able to handle much more of this, so I'm glad we are less than three hours until we know who is going where.

The 5 second call was terrible. 3 1/2 seconds at most.

Deciding between the Big 10 and the SEC this year is like deciding whether I'd prefer to get punched in the face or kneed in the bean bag.
