Maryland Spring Practice Underway

I have to catch a plane to Phoenix (and then a very long cab ride to Glendale) in a bit, but I stopped in the Gossett Team House for Ralph Friedgen’s press conference to open spring practice. As expected, Friedgen will keep a close eye on the offensive line, which will be very young but perhaps better than last season, and linebacker, which lost several familiar faces. Jamarr Robinson will look to solidify his role as backup quarterback. Friedgen believes the game will begin to slow down for returning starter Chris Turner, who should settle into an even greater comfort zone this spring. Friedgen thinks energy, enthusiasm and fundamentally sound football can offset the team’s considerable youth and inexperience. Off to Phoenix for Memphis, U-Conn., Purdue and Missouri, but I’ll be back in two weeks after the Final Four. See ya.

Whoo hoo!!!! Spring practice. Hopefully Eric is leaving Steve behind to keep us updated.
Wouldn't mind seeing this kid in a Terps uniform next year

Don't know what his grades are but I seem to recall Maryland recruiting him 3 years ago, although they were not in the final mix. Big kid who can run. What are the rules (if any) on contacting/recruiting someone who has been released from a program at his request?

Hopefully there are no 3 parters on the football team planned for this year but, one never knows.

didn't Prisbell state that he's not the Terps beat writer, and that he instead is an investigative writer? Why is he popping into Gossett or still posting on Terps Insider? Can someone name an article written by him on a subject matter that is not terps related or is a non-maryland investigation? As I said before, Prisbell needs to review his job description because there' a conflict of interest is all he's going to investigate is maryland stuff because it's the only area he covers.
