Solid Showing For Maryland-Bound Padgett

Lance Stephenson may have tallied 24 points while leading Abraham Lincoln High School to its fourth straight PSAL title (the first time that's ever been done, by the way) over the weekend, but the Railsplitters received a significant boost from future Terrapin James Padgett, as well.

Padgett, who committed to Maryland last fall, recorded 17 points and 14 rebounds. He helped spur Lincoln to an 8-0 run late in the first half after Stephenson was forced to the bench with three fouls.

There's no certainty Stephenson will end up in a Maryland uniform, but Padgett will, and at the moment that's looking like a promising pickup.

I only saw clips, but Padgett sure plays like young James Gist.

What of Terrell Vinson? The ESPN website has him listed as a possible Maryland recruit after his release from the previous commitment. Is there any chance that he might come here? Also, as others have pointed out, where are the scholarships coming from for these players (Stephenson and possibly Vinson)?
