Friedgen Talks at Media Day

Maryland Coach Ralph Friedgen kicked off the official start of the Terrapins football season just a little while ago inside the Gossett Team House facility. He spoke to reporters for about a half-hour and expressed excitement over the team he'll take into the upcoming season.

I'll make several posts throughout the afternoon, but because the players are available for interviews in a few minutes, I'll stick to the hard news for now.

Friedgen said junior wide receiver Emani Lee-Odai has an injured ankle and will miss "about a week" of practice.

The coach also noted that sophomore defensive lineman Dion Armstrong's eligibility remains in question. Friedgen said Armstrong will practice with the team while his eligibility is sorted out and that Armstrong was the only player with eligibility questions.
