Best: Durability Is the Biggest Knock on Me
Here is a feature on California running back Jahvid Best, who is probably the closest player the sport has to a Reggie Bush. I am always hesitant to compare the two, but it does seem like a natural comparison on a number of levels.
As the story points out, Best has missed a decent portion of training camp with a sore toe. But he is determined to prove that he is a durable back, which has been one criticism of Best in college. Cal Coach Jeff Tedford has said that Best will be used on kickoff returns, so it’s hard to envision Best being too limited Saturday night.
