Blue Raiders Score, Extra Point Blocked
It seemed Maryland would escape a Chris Turner interception deep in their own territory, but instead, Mid Tenn St quarterback Dwight Dasher scored on a four-yard rush. The extra point was blocked, allowing Maryland to maintain a one-point lead.
Mid Tenn St faced a fourth and one at the Maryland 20. Dasher threw an incomplete pass which would have given the ball to Maryland on downs. But A.J. Francis was called offsides on the play, giving the Blue Raiders new life. Two plays later, they scored.
