Duke strikes first
Duke quarterback Thaddeus Lewis, who has had plenty of time to sit in the pocket and throw the ball, just hooked up with Donovan Varner for a 24-yard TD reception. Maryland cornerback Richard Taylor chased Varner into the end zone.
