Is the Glass Half-Full or Half-Empty?
While Maryland sits at 1-3 right now, there is a sense among the players and coaches that the team could easily be 3-1 right now. In fact, several plays have said just that, and I applaud them for seeing the glass as half-full right now, because in reality it’s barely even half-empty at this point.
But I have a hard time believing that this team was thisclose to being 3-1. Yes, I do think Maryland outplayed Middle Tennessee for most of the game. But the Terrapins remained competitive with Rutgers early in the fourth quarter only because of the Scarlet Knights' inept offense. The way I look at it, Maryland could very easily be 0-4, because I felt James Madison had several opportunities to win the Sept. 12 game that was decided by Nick Ferrara's field goal in overtime.
I want to see where everyone else stands on this.
