More carries for Porzel?

Four running backs are making Maryland’s trip to Duke this morning, but redshirt freshman Gary Douglas is not one of them. The injured back will sit this game out. Davin Meggett should get plenty of carries. Touted true freshman Caleb Porzel should see some action. We’ll see if Coach Ralph Friedgen wants to burn the redshirt for freshman D.J. Adams. The interesting option is junior Morgan Green. Coaches have said that Green was not really even in the mix most of the season. But Friedgen said Green had a very good week or practice.

Friedgen said Maryland has expanded Porzel’s package of plays. He should get more playing time. His speed is really something to watch. I think this will help the Terrapins, maybe considerably.

I like the change of pace of Green as the power back and Porzel as the speed back. Plus, the two of them haven't fumbled this year (yet!). If we hadn't had all the ridiculous fumbles this year, we'd be 5-2 instead of 2-5!
