Maryland announces three signees for 2010 recruiting class

Maryland team officials just handed out a press release announcing the signing of three members of its 2010 recruiting class. Point guard Terrell Stoglin, small forward Mychal Parker and power forward Ashton Pankey have signed their letters of intent to play for the Terrapins beginning next season.

"All three players should have an immediate impact on our program," Coach Gary Williams said in the release. "They have the maturity and ability to play at a high level."

The two-page release makes no mention of shooting guard Terrence Ross (Montrose Christian), who gave Maryland a verbal commitment in April but will wait until the spring to sign his letter of intent. Colleague Josh Barr broke that news earlier this week.

Assuming Ross eventually signs with Maryland, the Terrapins will bring in a 2010 recruiting class that ranks in the top 20 in the nation. currently has Maryland's class ranked No. 19. slots Maryland's class at No. 15.

Maryland's 2003 recruiting class was ranked #3. Please continue to post nonsense and I will continue to embarass and ridicule you into submission and love every minute of it.

The 2002 and 2003 classes, both of which came AFTER the championship, were both ranked in the top 5. Additionally, the Terps have had 5 top 25 classes since the championship season, and next year will be the 6th. Oh but Gary really "struggles" with recruiting. Hah!

Rivals has us with the 6th best class... in the ACC!!!!!!! Even our best year in 5 or 6 can't crack the elite in the ACC. Gary hit the golf course full time and give up the gig to a younger guy.
