Student tickets still available for Saturday's game

Way back on Aug. 25, Maryland announced that Saturday's game against Virginia Tech was sold out. But on Wednesday, the school sent out an e-mail saying that student tickets, and student guest tickets at $25, were still available. The e-mail also encouraged students to wear black to the game for "Blackout 09."

The e-mail, after the jump:

"Dear Students,
Tickets still remain for this Saturday's football game against 20th-ranked Virginia Tech. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. and students are encouraged to participate in Blackout 09 by wearing black to the game in support of the Terps. The first 10,000 students in attendance will receive a free rally towel courtesy of Lowe's.
Tickets are going fast so reserve your tickets today by visiting www.tickets.umd.edu and logging in to your student account. Don't forget to invite your friends and family members to the game as every fan in the stadium gives us a competitive edge. Student guest tickets are available for only $25.
We need your support more than ever - Wear Black - Be Loud - Go Terps!
See you on Saturday!"

Suprised it wasn't mentioned here on Terps insider or mentioned by Super Fan #1, Barno1.

Glad to see the student body hasn't given up on Ralph...Perhaps Yow should pass out 10,000 Tech towels, since there will be more Hokie fans at the game...She should also have the band learn 'Enter Sandman'.. Think that would be a nice gesture of good sportsmanship.. Can't beat that intro. Tailgate starts at 7AM lot 9B.. Hokie fans, come join us...

Do you need to be with a student to get in with a Student Guest Ticket?

I'd think that Maryland Students could make some Christmas Money by buying up student guest tickets for $25 and scalping them.

I'd buy one :)

i think it's funny when fans of not the message-board team are told to get lost for whatever reason.

heavens to betsy people have discussions or hear from other teams fans, even if it is internet taunting.

lol so sad.

I think it's funny when some messageboard idiot says something asinine after failing to notice the face at the end of the previous message indicating it was good-natured ribbing. What's sad is how you still post on this site solely in a misguided attempt to get a rise out of people.
