Turner MCL injury; status for next week uncertain
A quick update from the press box following the 38-31 loss to N.C. State:
Chris Turner has an MCL injury to his left knee. His status for next week is uncertain.
Coach Ralph Friedgen has not ruled out using freshman Danny O'Brien at some point this season.
Defensive lineman Isaiah Ross is out for the season with an ACL injury. Friedgen said, "I’m going to look at that one. The guy should have been thrown out of the game. They didn’t even see it. He got an ACL, so he is definitely done [for the season].”
Travis Ivey on the injury to Ross.
“The guy just basically, after the play, speared him in his leg, then jumped on top of him and hitting while on top of him. They were playing hard, they were playinig passionate. But sometimes you have to draw the line. The ref didn’t see it, didn’t call it. It added fuel to the fire as far as how we would play.”
