Turner out this week, may not be back for BC

Maryland Coach Ralph Friedgen is holding his weekly news conference at the moment, and Post beat writer Eric Prisbell reports that quarterback Chris Turner will not play on Saturday against Florida State and is only 50-50 to play in the season finale against Boston College on Nov. 28. Turner injured the medial collateral ligament in his left knee on Nov. 7 against North Carolina State and didn't play in Saturday's loss to Virginia Tech.

ok, I'm confused. Poopy_ is a Miami fan (as his second team after the Terps I take it)? Poopy- claimed to be a Duke fan. Please disclose. In the absence of MD winning I do root for NC State, Wake, & GT and do root for UNC & Duke at tourney time if the Terps are out and always outside of the conference. Have a hard time rooting for FL State, Miami, BC (unless outside the conference or to help MD's standings when they are competitive) and always root against the Wahoos no matter what the circumstances. Like Va Tech on most other weeks other than our annual thrubbing.

C'mon Hugh, don't tell me even you were fooled by the ruse of the fake/hyphen Poopy.

Duke blows. I've never rooted for Duke, never will.

The 'Canes on the other hand I've been rooting for since I was a young boy growing up in Southern MD.

Nah - never fell for the "Poopy-"...in reality, the guy was not original enough to be you. Seriously, your style is a quick comment, his was guns blazing; and he got boring quickly. Wanted to make sure. Ok, rooting for Miami - I get it. They used to be such a force and still are one the NFL's best feeder programs. Of course, I'm old enough to remember the "Miracle in Miami" so have a hard time hating them like I do UVA. The duke fan thing was a dead giveaway - I may not hate Duke, but I'm not a fan. Back in the day, when the ACC let in Florida State, I was ticked off because I thought Miami was the more natural fit of the Florida schools. Their decision to join the ACC is an indictment of Notre Dame - since the ACC shares the money, all of the schools have the ability to support good programs year after year across all sports. In the BE, its every school for itself and alumni contributions mater far more. I assume in a games b/w Miami and Md you root for MD - correct? Of course I'd accept some qualifications on that - for instance if Miami football was undefeated and in the National title hunt and MD was as crappy as they are this year. You get the general idea.
