Former U-Md. coach Bud Millikan passes away
Bud Millikan, who coached the Terrapins for 17 seasons from 1950 to 1967, has passed away, according to a release from the school. Millikan coached Gary Williams during the current Maryland coach's playing tenure in College Park.

That's very sad to hear. I hope there will be a veyr nice ceremony for him before the UNC game.

Joe Harrington and Jay McMillan also played for Bud.
He was followed by Frank Fellows who didn't last long and moved into the athletic department with the arrival of Lefty.
If we could only take Lefty and GW and mix them up in a petrie dish...what a wonder we would have!
