Hayes to compete in three-point shooting contest in Indy
Maryland senior guard Eric Hayes was selected to participate in the men's three-point shooting college championship on Thursday at the Indiana Convention Center. The event, which also includes a women's three-point contest and a slam dunk contest, will be televised on ESPN from 9-11 p.m.
Hayes shot 45.4 percent from three-point range this season and finished his Maryland career shooting 40.5 percent from beyond the arc, the fourth-best mark in program history.
Also scheduled to participate in the men's three-point shooting contest in Indianapolis on Thursday are Kansas guard Sherron Collins, California guard Jerome Randle and New Mexico guard Roman Martinez.

I'm very glad to see Eric get some recognition for his skills. Yeah, he definitely has a shot at winning this thing.

Had a dream last night that I was in a 3 point contest...probably a result of me hearing about hayes. I was money from the corners in my dream.

This is actually pretty cool. I like Hayes' chances in this group.
I wish Milbourne were in the dunk contest. Maybe had he gotten more opportunities to showcase his ridiculous leaping ability, but we haven't really run the backdoor alley oop plays since the TMo/Laron days.
