NCAA tournament 2010: Lucas starts, Allen does not
Update at 2:25 p.m.: Chris Allen is not in the Michigan State starting lineup, as the original list suggested. The Spartans are going with a big lineup and starting sophomore forward Delvon Roe in Allen's place.
We're a little more than a half hour away from tip-off between Maryland and Michigan State. Players from both squads were warming up out on the court a few minutes ago, and the starting lineups were just released by NCAA officials. No surprises on Maryland's end. As for Michigan State, guards Kalin Lucas and Chris Allen both were listed as starters.
Lucas, who re-injured his right ankle Friday night, participated fully in the Spartans warm-up drills. Allen suffered a right foot sprain Friday night and his status for today's game is less clear. He was on the court for warm-ups, but walked back and forth across the court on his own dribbling a ball. He did not participate in many of the team's warm-up drills. It appears, though, as if he'll start.
