Maryland CB McDougle to miss bowl game after scooter accident
Dexter McDougle, a redshirt freshman cornerback, will miss Maryland's game against East Carolina in the Military Bowl after suffering a broken clavicle in what a school official described as a "single scooter accident on campus" Saturday night.
Teammate Isaiah Ross was operating the scooter, but was not injured in the accident. A school official said he believed the scooter hit a bump in the road and that no other vehicle was involved in the accident.
McDougle was treated at a local hospital and released. He is scheduled to have surgery Tuesday, ending his season. McDougle played in 11 games this season, mostly as the No. 3 cornerback. He posted 22 tackles, including 14 solo stops, and three pass breakups.
This is the second motor scooter accident involving a Maryland player this season. Pete DeSouza, a redshirt freshman offensive lineman, suffered fractures in both legs in an on-campus scooter accident in late October. He is expected to make a full recovery.

Finally, I would actually like to see Gary experiment with a "big" lineup of PADGETT@3, PAULSSON@4, and JWILL@5. That lineup becomes even more intriguing when you add STOGLIN@1 and HOWARD/MOSELEY@2.
What do y'all think?

I think I agree with your potential big line up only I think HP at 3 and JP at 4. JP is a 4 and really only a 4, HP would be a bit undersized in that spot and has swing skills. But I do want to see HP and JP on the floor a lot more.
An alternative big line-up - JW@5, JP@4, DG@3.
We need more rebounds.

Not sure how the post above ended up on this string.
wtf is going on with Vespas in CP? Hope McDougle has a full and speedy recovery and that we are able to defend ECU. Losing a CB always hurts.

Hmmm.....I understand we will need our defense to show up against ECU. One man down. No more please.

I hope Don Brown is planning to crush the ECU offense. Better take the keys to the scooters.

When I lived on campus i walked from one end to the other and never missed a class...this is the second serious injury and why do these athletes needs scooters?

Why it wasn't mandated that all players stay off of scooters with the penalty of loss of scholarship as a deterent is beyond me, just plain stupid.
