Vultures are great Valentines: D.C. blogs
Good afternoon. My favorite tweet today came from @traveleatrepeat: You know it's been cold too long when 45 degrees feels like spring. Here, here. And get this, the temperature spiked to 70 degrees at Reagan National Airport. It's Valentine's Day and the D.C. area blogosphere has plenty of Feb. 14-themed posts. If Valentine's Day isn't your bag, no worries, DC Recycler has a handy tip on how to get rid of those pesky Yellow Pages. And Not Derby Pie has a mouthwatering recipe for Meyer Lemon Streusel muffins.
Just in time for Valentine's Day, Around the Mall chats with the Chocolate Hunter. His job for MARS chocolate North America is to travel the world and find the best ingredients and methods for making chocolate.
Why vultures make better Valentine's than teddy bears via the Natural Capital.
The Commuter Page blog reminds us that this is "Telework Week" --part of a national effort to encourage agencies, individuals and organizations to go green, give their cars a rest and work from home for one week.
From Not Derby Pie -- a muffin recipe that's just too good to pass up. Meyer Lemon Streusel muffins. Is your mouth watering yet?
If you're tired of lugging that copy of the yellow pages from your doorstep straight to the recycling bin, DC Recycler has this link on how to opt out of receiving that very large yellow paper weight.
That's it for now. Thanks for reading and have a great rest of the day. Hold on to your hat though -- I understand the winds have kicked up. Back tomorrow with more great posts from the D.C. area blogosphere.
