'Wammies' being given out to D.C.-area musicians
Forget the Grammys, Washington, and get ready for the Wammies.
Sunday is the 25th annual The Washington Area Music Awards, known as the Wammies. The awards recognize significant career achievements by area musicians.
The show begins at 8 p.m. at The State Theatre in Falls Church, Va. Performers include the Charm City Devils, Julia Nixon and the Hula Monsters.
Tickets range from $15 to $35.
