In Performance: Local Reviews

In the paper: Zwilich's New Septet Comes to Washington, by Joan Reinthaler.

And the Crosscurrents festival continues. Tonight, Leila Josefowicz plays Oliver Knussen's violin concerto with the NSO.

Not part of the festival, but of note for contemporary music fans: Jenny Lin examines the piano etude, in all of its various permutations (from Liszt and Stravinsky to Gabriela Ortiz and Unsuk Chin), in her recital at Strathmore.
