Two more benefits
Two more benefit concerts this weekend.
Tonight (Friday): The Worldbank Group hosts the pianist Valery Kuleshov in a program of Bach, Chopin, Liszt, Busoni, Rachmaninov, and Wild to benefit relief efforts in Haiti. 6 p.m., IFC Auditorium, 2121 Pennsylvania Avenue NW (entrance on K Street); donations will be accepted at the door.
Sunday: The Washington Opera Chorus is performing opera excerpts and folksong and spiritual arrangements to benefit the relief fund of the American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA), which provides assistance to musicians, including those who have been affected by the recession. 4 p.m., St. Anne's Church (near Tenley Circle).
