Bayreuth opens to obligatory boos
On Bloomberg, Shirley Apthorp reviews the opening of the Bayreuth Festival on Sunday. In the Süddeutsche Zeitung (German only), Reinhard J. Brembeck raved about conductor Andris Nelsons, but had a few reservations about Jonas Kaufman's Lohengrin.
