April 8th Preview: Iraq, U.S. Attorneys and 2008

The war in Iraq, the firing of eight U.S. attorneys and the intensifying 2008 presidential race have been the focus of the Sunday political talk shows for weeks. This Easter Sunday will be no different.

CNN's "Late Edition" will feature Sens. Arlen Specter (R-Pa.), the ranking member of the Judiciary Committee, and Joe Lieberman (Conn.), one of the few Democrats in Congress to remain an outspoken supporter of President Bush's war effort.

Former four-term Wisconsin governor Tommy Thomspon, who served as Bush's health and human services secretary in his first term, will appear on CNN to discuss his campaign newly announced campaign for the GOP presidential nomination.

ABC's "This Week" will talk to Sen. Carl Levin (D-Mich.) chairman of the Armed Services Committee, and Sen. Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.), a member of the Judiciary Committee.

Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) and his wife Teresa Heinz Kerry will also stop by "This Week" to discuss their new book, "This Moment on Earth." Walter Isaacson, the former managing editor of TIME and the president and CEO of the Aspen Institute, is scheduled to appear; he is the author of a new biography of Albert Einstein.

"Fox News Sunday" hosts two explosive personalities -- Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and former House speaker and possible presidential contender Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.).

CBS's "Face the Nation" will interview former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, who is mounting a longshot bid for the GOP nomination.

NBC's "Meet the Press" will have a Sunday morning roundtable focusing on the presidential campaign and the debate over funding the war in Iraq. National Review's Kate O'Beirne, PBS's Judy Woodruff and NBC News's David Gregory and Chuck Todd will appear.

Check The Talk on Sunday afternoon for a complete recap of the Sunday shows.

Joe Lieberman is NOT a Democrat, WaPo. You should know this. If I wanted this kind of partisan smear I would go to Fox News. . . oh, wait, doesn't Fred Hiatt work at WaPo? Maybe I AM at the Fox site. . .

Attorney scandals suck. My kingdom for the 1990s. Now those were the good old days. Remember Melvin Jay "Mel" Reynolds, Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives from the state of Illinois from 1993 to 1995? In August 1994, he was indicted for having sex with a 16-year-old campaign volunteer. Despite the charges, he continued his campaign and was re-elected in November 1994 (those forgiving Democratic voters). On August 22, 1995 he was convicted on 12 counts of sexual assault, obstruction of justice and solicitation of child pornography. He resigned his seat on October 1, 1995. Reynolds, who had a wife and a child at the time of the incident, was sentenced to five years in prison and expected to be released in 1998. However, in April 1997, he was convicted on 15 unrelated counts of bank fraud and lying to SEC investigators. These charges resulted in an additional sentence of 78 months in federal prison.

Reynolds served all of his first sentence and served forty-two months in prison for the later charges. At that point, U.S. President Bill Clinton commuted the sentence for bank fraud. Why would Bill Clinton commute the sentence of someone convicted of sexual assault of a 16-year-old and solicitation of child pornography? He probably admired Mel's ability to seduce a 16-year-old. After all Monica was a ripe old 22.

Joe Lieberman is NOT a Democrat. What exactly are we to conclude when you can't be bothered to get this right?

It is easy to ask if Joe Lieberman gives Israel unflinching loyalty. He can see the Israeli perspective very clearly but he cannot understand there is another side to the coin. Thank goodness he is not a heart beat from the White House.

Lieberman cannot see the Palestinian point of view. He is an unflinching supporter of Israel and I am glad that he is not the VP.

Fellow Americans,
When voting for a president you should vote for someone that will challence the FALCON PLAN, ULTIME GOAL TURN U.S. IN POLICESTATE ** Federal and Local Cops Organized Nationally ** is not a member of or has ties with: Scull and Bones. -- Tri-lateral commission. -- Bilderberg group. -- Any Secret Service. -- A military rank of officer.
Not be pushed by this presidency !!! -- Have bloody hands from the 9-11 2001 cover up !! Interests in oil, weapons or real-estate/houses. The candidate should not have ties or dependencies with the financial world. This candidate should not accept large sums of
money from belligerent corporations and should not embrace the thoughts behind the program NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND.
(This program brainwashes children not to learn facts but to become a good global citizen, i.e. government will tell you what is good for you (it actually replaces god or the natural laws), a very dangerous development). This so called SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT has been set up
to make zombies of the larger parts of the American population. Things like arithmetic of math are no longer necessary as long as you are a good global citizen and know to push which
button, that means phony education for you and your children. Examples of what is gonna happen with you and your families are right under your nose. Your
current president tramples your very American Constitution and the Amendments. He appoints a CIA director named Gates whom made up false intelligence to start a war and put your children
in harms way. This president is using you and your children as toys... and when he has done playing, your children might and up death. This behavior is also part of SUSTAINABLE
DEVELOPMENT. But be careful because today your government calls it SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT but tomorrow it might just have another name.. You should download this movie via Emule 9-11 Guilt {The Proof Is In Your Hands By Jim Hoffman Don Paul}[2005]Eng-Divx5.avi. AND FINALLY DONT LOOK AT THE APPEARANCE OF THE PRESIDENT CANDIDATE BUT FIGURE OUT WHO GAVE HIM THE MONEY TO GET THAT FAR !!!

Bush produces terrorists at a pace, all the armies of the world cannot contain them or stop them. Right now, at this very moment, we have sleepers by the millions thanks to the efforts of this administration. THE WORLD NOW HAS BECOME A DANGEROUS PLACE, CAUSED BY THIS ADMINISTRATION. The ONE choice and plight is: ** STOP THIS ADMINISTRATION ** NOW !!! DEAD OR ALIVE !!!
