Clinton on O'Reilly: Wright Comments 'Outrageous' and 'Offensive'

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah -- Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (N.Y.) made a long-awaited appearance today on Bill O'Reilly's Fox News Channel show, using the intense media focus to strongly condemn the Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

Clinton called remarks made by Wright earlier in the week at the National Press Club "offensive" and "outrageous" although she avoided any direct criticism of Sen. Barack Obama (Ill.) who seemed to sever his long ties with the pastor yesterday.

Instead, Clinton offered an odd sort of addendum to her initial comments on the Wright controversy.

"I'm going to express my opinion, others can express theirs," she said. "But, you know, it is -- it is part of, you know, just an atmosphere that we're in today where all kinds of things are being said. And people have to, you know, decide what they believe. And I sure don't believe the United States government was behind AIDS."

Um, what?

Among the other topics of discussion, according to excerpts provided by Fox News Channel this afternoon, were Iraq, gas prices and the economy.

As she has done time and again during this campaign, Clinton painted her husband's administration as one of considerable economic prosperity that many Americans miss badly.

"People are net losers under the Bush economy," she said. "They were net winners under the Clinton economy. We're going to bring back a good, positive economy for the vast majority of Americans."

When it comes to Iraq, Clinton insisted that American troops had done their job. "I believe that our military has fulfilled all their military missions," she said, but added that "there is no military solution to what we face in Iraq, which is unprecedented."

Tonight's interview between Clinton and O'Reilly is destination viewing for any political junkie. It's such a big event that Fox News Channel is spreading the sitdown out over two nights. Make sure to set your Tivos for 8:00 p.m. tonight.

You really don't get the comment about the US Government causing AIDS? This is a very popular theme in the black community, that the Goverment started AIDS as a method of genocide against African American people. And after the Tuskegee Project, why should that be so far fetched?
African Americans will surely get what Hilary is talking about. It's not really a non sequiter, taken in the context of Rev. Wrights's comments.

Just look at my name: whitefamilyman. Doesn't that give you reason enough to think whatever I might say will be racially motivated. So, a quick request: argue with me, prove me wrong, spout off your opinion in opposition, but please don't simply call me names. I'll do the same for you.

My question is, in light of the Rev. Wright issue, if blacks in america cannot present their culture, achievements and issues to the rest of the american citizens without creating more divisions, do they deserve to have a member representative of their community in a place of power to represent the united states of america as a whole?

What do you think? We have great leaders representing the black community in governent now: Rice, Powell and Thomas.

I offer this quote: "I do think that black politics in the United States is changing. Both the rise of Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice as well as the emergence of Barack Obama reflect these changes. We are moving past the dominance of civil rights leaders such as Jesse Jackson and Andrew Young to younger black leaders who arena of politics is much broader than just black community issues. The generation that is under 40 view themselves much more in a national sense and even an international sense." (for full transcript see: http://www.america.gov/st/texttrans-english/2008/February/20080221131305xjsnommiS0.5741541.html

Are we really ready as a country to move past the old racial lines? More importantly, it seems to me (as a whitefamilyman of course, are the black community ready?

The current administration built power from an extremly cohesive religious platform. They were articulate and presented their issues and leaders in mostly positive and productive ways. But most importantly, they stuck together, knew what they wanted, and kept their eyes on the prize. If we were to have a black president, would the black community be capable of doing the same? Would the black leaders be as power hungry and divisive as Rev Wright? Again, what would they "deserve"?

Unlike Wright and Ayers, Obama's friends the guy never said anything against our country so stop already.

And unlike the Obama baggages stories about Hillary have all been told many times over during the past 10-15 years. So you want to rehash these stories all over again.

If you guys want to re-cycle old news about Hillary be our guest. hah, hah, hah!!!

As for Obama's pal Ayers, what makes it worst was the fact that he is still an unrepentant terrorist that said he wish he did more bombing to our government facilities.

Also, expect Rev. Wright to show up again one of these days...

Why didn't he ask her about distanting herself from a perjurer? How could she have had an over 20 year relationship with someone who has been convicted of perjury? She shares the same ideas as a convicted liar and he is her most intimate advisor. You know, you choose your husband? She needs to denounce and reject him. I question her judgement. - More nonsense or double standard?

Just listen to the pundits on the cable news channels as they marvel at the political astuteness of Hillary Clinton as she goes on the Bill O'Reilly show and takes him on. Listen to Chris Matthews as he gushes about how easily the Clintons were able to manipulate the media and the public into obsessing over this Reverend Wright spectacle. Hillary is eking out a consistency by pandering to the narrow interests and fears of the swing voters of the moment . The majority of this consistency are not the same kind of people who supported her in her earlier victories. Neither her nor John Edwards' consistencies were FOXNews viewers. Edwards had boycotted the network

Ryan - re: "That shot is becoming cheaper by the second."
Dude, it has been categorically proven that your candidate deliberately lied to the American people on more than one occaision, in the context of bragging about her bravery. That disqualifies her, in my mind, from any position requiring public trust. Spin it however you want - she lied to make herself look brave. She CANNOT be trusted.

jp2: "it's spelled 'liar.' In the dictionary there's a picture of Hillary dodging sniper-fire on her 1996 trip to Tuzla; there's another picture of her passing the S-CHIP bill (with her head superimposed on Ted's body)."

I'll give you the sniper-fire swipe (although that shot is getting cheaper by the second).

You're wrong on SCHIP, though. Here's a quote from Ted Kennedy before he endorsed Obama: "The children's health program wouldn't be in existence today if we didn't have Hillary pushing for it from the other end of Pennsylvania Avenue." And here's an analysis of the facts: http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/giving_hillary_credit_for_schip.html

For the first time Bill is right!

This can be a message to the super delegates afraid of Obama because of Reverend Wright.

I learned this the hard way. As an African American you grow up hearing about the man, the man, the man. And I have met my fair share of racist European Americans. But the older African American men, Reverends to be exact, have taken advantage of African Americans for personal fortune and fame.

The church was about healing, but most focus on profits, almost like corporations. They have linked themselves with political movements and are very powerful. To get the African American vote, you have to go through the Church!

Some churches have property developments and a vast amount of businesses that do not reflect the member or their income levels. They get the property from the city, get grants to build the condos, get the materials as a donation, but they sell the condos/homes on lease to buy deals, using Sec 8 and rob the citizens blind.

I know several pastor's that have maids and butlers and lives in a Mansion. They are robbing the African American community blind. I heard that Keith Butlers church in Detroit has an ATM machine in the church so members do not forget to pay dues. Reverend Windell Anthony who runs the Detroit chapter of the NAACP has a $90,0000.00 dollar mortgage on his church and Bill Clinton visits the Church, he was linked to Reverend Wright who as two benzes and a $10,000,000.00 home. And the Clinton's help set up that Monday press conference!

That is what Obama will not tell the Press. He did not now about the Speeches, but he did not realize how tied Reverend Wright was with the Clintons. It was a setup, that was the Clinton secret weapon, to have Reverend Wright ruin Obama, if they needed his to.

Then Wright would get $250,000.00 for speeches and a book deal if you know what I mean!

So, Obama obviously did not agree with the Reverend, but in the game of city politics, he was the man.

Some people ask why with the growth in income levels have the African America families fallen behind and I blame drugs and for profit churches!
The African American churches have become the man!

This is what the mainstream media should be reporting on. Let's make it happen:
http://video.yahoo.com/watch/1771494

For those of you who think this case has been thrown out or is irrelevant:

"In the landmark civil fraud case against Bill Clinton in Los Angeles, where the former President is charged with defrauding a Hollywood dot com millionaire to help Hillary Clinton obtain more than $1.2 million from him for her 2000 Senate campaign, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Aurelio Munoz ruled on Friday, April 25, 2008 that Hillary Clinton would not be required to testify in a sworn deposition as a material witness in the case until AFTER the November election!." (paulvclinton.com)
Here is the kicker - the judge is a Bill Clinton appointee!

Since the media is refusing to reveal/report the Paul vs Clinton fraud case in court right now, we need to create our own movement and flood every blog with information from the case.

For those that don't know - Google Paul vs Clinton and hold on to your shirt with what you read!!

mnteng - If you are still checking in, what the refiners will do depends on whether refining is a competitive industry, as well as on the relative inelasticity of demand.

I am of a mind to think that summer elasticity may be significant. For you, vacation in Poconos, rather than in Napa.
For me, the Davis Mountains not the Cascades.

I am carefully avoiding analysis beyond that, for now, but I am trying to get a handle on just how competitive the refiners are [by talking to friends, who may not know either].

No Big Surprise! Fox New, Fox Polls, Hillary on Fox, O'Reiley give Hillary a platform on which to spout all her "policies." This woman had 1700 pages for her health plan, and then gave it up! A "fighter"....not for us or she would have found a way to provide health insurance for us all in the 90's.

She's more like a Republican than you know and continues to lie. Latest: In Indiana yesterday, she said jobs were sent to China and it was G. W.'s fault when it was really done during Clinton's time in the White House. She's against Nafta, remember, but in order to get votes, she'll do or say anything. Her nose continues to grow. Yeah, Obama ain't perfect, but I'd much rather have someone who tells me the truth even if I don't like it (like the gasoline tax fiasco) than lie....just to get my vote. Get over all the stupid distractions (ie: Rev. Wright etc) and concentrate on the real issues this country faces.

mnteng: you have been perfectly reasonable and rational in your discussion yesterday about the gas tax holiday that I promoted, and feel that mark correctly states is a very complex issue. I have started buying puts on oil stocks b/c the energy traders next to my office have told me they see oil prices going under $100 in the next 30 days as the dollar starts to rebound. Mark I posted the story of seeing poor people in old cars pushes their cars into the the local Valero station and then walking around begging for $4 to get enough gas in their car to drive home, truly sad.

I understand all of the arguments against the gas tax holiday, but I think any politician who minimizes this real fear with consumers is making a huge mistake. Anything even a free tank of gas will help. The food inflation, the slow down in the economy is for real and even a brief reprieve in gas prices and its impact on inflation and food prices may keep us from a deep recession. Mark I think drivers are sincerely scared, and any break in prices they will see as being only temporary and I just don't see them using that to suddenly increase their driving habits as you suggested. Personally it doesn't impact my family that much and we have probably cut down on unnecessary trips by 25% and try to carpool as ofetn as possible. Curious if Obama supporters don't see that same fear in the eyes of drivers in their communities personally I think it is real and deep?

I'm not an econ guy, but since the refineries have been working at a very slim margin recently, won't they want to keep prices high? Not that they'd necessarily increase prices, but at least keep them constant, regardless of demand, to boost their profits a bit since there is a certain amount of inelasticity (Dave!'s word) to the gas market.

For those who insist Obama is an empty suit, I'd like them to point to all the major speeches Clinton has done on policy issues lately. Anyone? Anyone? To be clear, the entire election as of late (Obama included) has been devoid of real issues... but let's at least shake hands and admit that we're all covered in schitt.

Leichtman:

It wasn't me yelling at you yesterday about oil demand. I agree that speculators and the weak dollar have more to do with the price of oil. And the link I posted predicts that driving is going down.

My point was that I thought Gas Tax Holiday was a bad idea. Nothing I've read since then has changed my mind.

I did try to answer your question about what filling the SPR had to do with gas supply though.

mnteng, I read you to be sympathetic to leichtman for having posted similar info to my threadjack at 8:42A. I am glad leichtman noticed the same stuff I did.

Leichtman, did you also notice the Chronicle story on refining capacity coming online before summer? I believe Marathon, Tesoro, and BP's expansion at Texas City all play into this.

The problem is complex and tends to make my
juices as an eco major flow - that is why I hoed JD would comment. It seems to me that
worldwide price increases are fed by Asian demand, the decline of the dollar, and the futures market betting on both, while price has already flattened American demand.

If demand for gasoline stays flat, then the refineries are free to crack more diesel, or more lube oil, or more tar. I do not see a fed gas tax holiday as even a blip -
passed on at the pump it could increase demand which would increase price or cause shortage. This is a very responsive market, after all. Throw in BHO's commitment to corn ethanol and we have three candidates in lala land.

That is why I want them all on Charlie Rose for a week because they are all smart enough to get real if they are in an intelligent discussion.

mnteng: yesterday I posted that US demand for oil was down b/c I had read that here in our local Houston papers, and was told that was insane. Why in the world would energy demand decline in a recession? I also said that the dollar and speculators have more influence on oil prices then even demand. For a week, the dollar has gotten stronger, crude prices have dropped $8, and the feds yesterday indicated they may not continue lowering interest rates much longer, another sign supporting a strenthening dollar. The argument from the other side here was that oil prices will continue to go up and eat up any offset of an 18 cent reduction in gas prices. Whether you agree with dropping the gas tax or not the premise that there is increased driving, other than from normal seasonal factors, is simply incorrect.

"demand for gasoline fell slightly over the last four weeks, on average, compared with the same period last year, EIA data show."

"The demand just isn't there, and there's plenty of supply," said Phil Flynn, an analyst at Alaron Trading Corp. in Chicago.

Analysts say record gasoline prices are depressing demand."

exactly what I was yelled at yesterday when I said that oil demand is currently depressed in the 'US'.

I hope the pro-Obama Clinton-bashers just keep raising their nasty, hateful voices in support for Obama.

The mainstream, liberal media, infatuated with his rhetorical performances, has been doing a great job of hiding what the Obama's supporters and inner circle are really like. But we've been hearing and seeing the inside of his campaign's mentality for months.

I'm glad Rev. Wright broke out for a few days and revealed some of that truth. Now, the press is trying to pretend he's the only one in Obama's camp that is like that, when it is the tone and flavor of his entire campaign. All you have to look at are the secret talking points that get distributed by the Obama campaign that his paid blog shills post in coordination every day.

Rev. Wright IS the true face and tone of the Obama campaign, at least as expressed in his anonymous blogger force. The nastiness and bile of the Clinton-bashing has been coming from the heart of the Obama camp all along.

Go ahead GOPblack, keep posting. You're only giving the Democratic electorate more of a window into the ugly kinds of voices and political views that will be empowered, and go mainstream, if Obama is nominated the Democratic candidate.

A bunch of commenters ended up threadjacking the Rev. Wright post with talk about the gas tax holiday -- Leichtman was taking incoming from all sides. I ended up having to find an article that I remembered from a couple of weeks ago about predicting a lower gas consumption for this summer.

http://www.reuters.com/article/domesticNews/idUSN0718533620080408?feedType=RSS&feedName=domesticNews

But if the Chronicle is correct, then gas prices won't be going down with demand since the refineries are probably going to need to charge more based on the price of oil, even if there's increased capacity. And GWB lied (surprise, surprise).

Posted by: EchoChamber | May 1, 2008 9:50 AM | Report abuse

Boko - I am assuming you followed my threadjack. If what the Chronicle reports is correct, GWB simply lied when he said demand for gasoline is up and refinery capacity is stagnant. And the economists you refer to are correct and can cite the industry stats from Houston to prove it.

Maybe the three candidates can all back off their panders for five minutes -
McC and HRC on gas tax holiday and BHO on ethanol subsidies - and go talk on Charlie Rose with him and with each other on what we really are facing here. That would beat a phony debate any day.

Threadjack for JD.

The Houston Chronicle reports:

Supplies of gasoline remain high for this time of year. Also, demand for gasoline fell slightly over the last four weeks, on average, compared with the same period last year, EIA data show.

"The demand just isn't there, and there's plenty of supply," said Phil Flynn, an analyst at Alaron Trading Corp. in Chicago.

Analysts say record gasoline prices are depressing demand. At the pump, the national average price of a gallon of regular gasoline rose a cent overnight to a record $3.617, according to a survey of stations by AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. Diesel fuel rose 0.6 cent to a new record of $4.25 a gallon.

At some point, falling demand will pull prices down, analysts say, though few are willing to predict when that will happen.

Gasoline prices are following crude prices higher. But because gasoline demand has fallen for several months, refiners have not been able to raise gasoline prices fast enough to keep up with the rising cost of crude, which they must buy to turn into fuel. Crude prices are about 76 percent higher than they were a year ago, but gasoline prices are only 22 percent higher.

That is putting refining margins under pressure, and as a result, many refiners have cut gasoline production in recent weeks. Refinery activity fell slightly last week, while analysts were expecting a slight increase.
------------------
In another article the Chronicle reported that a substantial increase in refinery capacity comes on line before Summer.

Is this confusing, or what?

The TRUTH

Hillary Clinton is blaming the Bush administration for the fate of an Indiana company that was bought by the Chinese government -- which then laid off the Indiana employees and moved its defense technology work to China. Clinton ends the story by saying President Bush could have stopped it but didn't.

However, as the McClatchy newspapers points out the sale of that company was actually approved by her husband when he was president. The omission has not gone unnoticed.

Ed Dixon of Valparaiso, Indiana, writes to his local paper, "Hillary Clinton must have been hoping we Hoosiers have short memories."

Fred Sliger of Valparaiso, Indiana, writes, "They would have us believe Bush was behind this sale, when in fact the Clinton administration rubber stamped this along with the sale of numerous other high tech secrets to the Chinese."

"The Obama converts include William Louis-Dreyfus. The billionaire New York financier said he had been impressed by Clinton's performance in the Senate and distressed by eight years of the Bush administration when he donated the maximum to her campaign last August. Then, he said, he began watching more closely.

'However much one might have supported the Clintons, or one might support the usual suspects in the Democratic Party, I began to believe Obama represents a new approach. He gives off such a sense of relevance that he's sort of irresistible,' Louis-Dreyfus said.

He also expressed, as did other big givers who crossed to Obama, exasperation about the tone of the Clinton campaign and frustration with the candidate herself.

'At the end of the day, all she had to do was open her mouth for me not to believe her,' Louis-Dreyfus said."

Kudos to Obama for being the only one not to pander on the gas tax issue. Unfortunately, pandering usually works with the american public. Its why we are in the economic mess we are in right now. The Fed should had been raising rates the last 9 months instead of cutting. Money needs to be tight, to get inflation and price of gas down. I would love to hear one of the candidates say, "We are going to put this economy in a recession on purpose so we can leave our kids something. So quit whining and suck it up."

How convenient that Hillary Clinton should sit down with Bill O'Reilly and hold an interview session. All these years that she has been in office as senator or as first lady she never gave an interview to the fox network. But now, because she has a chance at denouncing Obama, she feels it her duty to go on the fox network and chide Obama and his "friend" Rev. Wright.

This is just more of the nonsense that she is constantly engaged in. Why do the interview now? This low class liar is nothing but an opportunist. Hillary will do or say anything to get elected. But even with all the drama that has been created with the Rev. Wright fiasco, she will not have enough delegates to overtake Obama for the nomination.

Right now, Obama is taking some serious heat for the Wright fiasco but trust me when I say that real soon Hillary will find herself in a similar or worse situation where she will be exposed even more. This woman can't help herself but to make stupid comments which come back to haunt her. Remember that liars can't help themselves but to continue with the lies. She is a natural when it comes to fabricating stories. Hillary's ship is sinking and soon it will all be over.

Barack Obama caught in crooked money laundering scheme

'Smoking gun' prompts Andy Martin to say Obama should withdraw as presidential candidate

http://www.pr-inside.com/smoking-gun-prompts-andy-martin-to-r559376.htm

EXCERPTS

(NEW YORK)(April 27, 2008) The disclosure today in the Los Angeles Times that Barack Obama laundered money through a law firm to conceal the source of his income while an Illinois state senator is the 'smoking gun' that is going to doom his candidacy.
www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-killerspin27apr27

The Times details how Obama was still 'of counsel' to his former law firm, but that he was not providing any services to that entity. Then Obama made a deal with Blackwell, and wanted to conceal that Blackwell was supporting him. So Obama 'laundered' the 'legal fees' by running them through the law firm and then issuing a list of the law firm's clients-none of which had anything to do with Obama--to disguise the Blackwell money in a laundry list of hundreds of unrelated 'clients.'

This was a classic case of money laundering and business fraud. Obama wanted to conceal the large sum he was receiving from Blackwell, so he concealed that Blackwell was the source of his income by pretending he was providing services to the law firm's other clients.

Utter fraud. 'Barry O' ain't stupid, he's slicky and tricky, and he's a ticking time bomb for the Democratic Party.

Obama's 'law firm' was also guilty of professional misconduct, because the lawyers knew that Obama had not provided services through the law firm, and was merely using the firm to obscure the fact that the major source of his personal income was one client on whose behalf Obama was later to advocate (there may have been earlier informal advocacy than the senate letter which has surfaced).

Since the law firm had no relationship with Blackwell, running Obama's fees through the firm was false and fraudulent.

Since Obama had nothing to do with the law firm's other clients, using a list of hundreds of unrelated clients to obscure that only one of those "clients" was paying him money was federal criminal mail fraud as well as a corruption of the ethics rules in Illinois.

America's strategic position in Iraq and probably in the Middle East altogether, has deteriorated significantly since the departure of Admiral Fallon and it couldn't come at a worse time for the U.S.The Bush Administration is reduced to the bluster of Mr Gates and his second carrier to Iran to pressure Sadr into reigning in his Militia.Unfortunately it would appear that Sadr doesn't have complete control over the Mehdi army and that Iran doesn't have a lot of control over Sadr. While this is going on,can anyone doubt that the Shia insurgency, the Sunni militants and the Taliban are,at least,in tactical communication with each other.A strike on Iran by the U.S. would send the oil markets to the moon and the American economy to complete collapse. It may turn out to have been a fatal error on the part of the President to let Fallon go without a fight on his behalf.Kind of like Lincoln letting Grant go before the Civil War was over. This is what happens when Israel gets control of American foreign policy.

Hillary looked great against O'Reily

She handled his questions well, showed great wit and fight.

She showed she's ready to take on the right wing machine in November.

Go Hillary! Go Dems!

when the country is run for a few people...

and those few people don't understand that

stupid decisions affect their futures, they their futures decline as well...

consider a simple example:

a one time harvesting of the money saved on labor costs by outsourcing all jobs to cheaper laborers overseas....

reduces consumption, eventually...

although several small iterations of that cycle occur until in order to be made as cheaply as possible and be competitive EVERYTHING IS OUTSOURCED...

still the bottom line is that most citizens are making much less or the same amount as they were 14 years ago...

even as things cost more, in general, certainly energy costs more...

so now you have a civilian population that has much less "extra income," and no real future to look forward to...

because manufacturing pays for

and requires

1. lawyers
2. accountants
3. payroll
4. tax accountants
5. logistics shipping and recieving packaging rail materials
6. sub industries that supply parts or some subset of the manufacturing needs, cleaning supplies etc.

and so on...

when you shut down a blue collar city by moving manufacturing overseas, you take away all of the white collar jobs that support that manufacturing effort as well...

you get ripple effects several layers deep for several years....

drug money laundering in mortgages is not going to have the same effect on an economy as turning out...

20 MILLION vehichles made in the United States from United States products....

quality is an issue, but just talking about the flow of money...

you can't move everything overseas and have a healthy economy. PERIOD, IT'S NOT POSSIBLE....there isn't a flow

adiabatic flow...

READ THIS:

another poster, horend wrote:

Maverick, I find understanding the markets difficult but will explain some of what I've learned.

GDP growth is not all derived from manufacturing as we are lead to believe.

It is the movement of money from one business transaction - a product is not necessarily created, but fees are generated, mortgages, corporate buyouts, downsizing, transactional legal fees, selling of credit derivatives, etc.

These constitute the movement of money which registers GDP growth although nothing was created.

There is also a report from two leading economics I believe at Harvard which discusses how the Bush administration has incorrectly equated imports as GDP growth.

If oil were sold in Euros and not dollars, the US would lose primary control of the oil markets. There was discussion that prior to our invasion of Iraq, Saddam Hussein was planning to revalue Iraqi oil in euros, thereby destablizing american markets. Further discussion can be found on line, about the joining of Mexico, Canada and the US - the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America which calls for use of a common currency the Amero. To justify a common currency between our three countries, the dollar must bottom out so this idea can be sold to the American public. Which to me explains the almost intentional devaluation of our currency.

drug trafficker...

I got to get rid of $180 BILLION DOLLARS worth of

drug money, I can also get bailout and legislation/comity and or pork to repay any losses I take...

why wouldn't I use a bank from another country to start investing and pushing a market purposely...I make my money in the transition...I start planning for this 12 years ago....I have control of several countries resources and funding, not overtly but through layered deals...me and 2 other investors,

I plan on making money and money laundering in each stage of the chaos/orchestrated chaos...

this is no accident, this is planned...

some of the people are too stupid to see the predictability of their actions...

but this started 12 years ago, with some INTERNATIONALS, playing some families

SEC, NSA, FBI INTERPOL, Secret Service, conviction Malaysia, crimerate, interesting facts, evasive action begin plan.

... REGARDING WHY ARE WE IN AFGHANISTAN?

FROM A DANISH NEWS SOURCE:

.... The pre-planned attack on Afghanistan, as we have seen, was meant to nullify the contract between the Taliban and the Bridas Corporation, to assure access to the Caspian Basin riches for American oil companies.

It was a pure play of international energy policy.

It had nothing to do, as designed, with apprehending Osama bin Laden--a pure play of security policy.

[...]On October 7, 2001 the carpet of bombs is unleashed over Afghanistan.

Hamid Karzai, the former Unocal/CHEVRON consultant, is installed as head of an interim government.

Subsequently he is elected President of Afghanistan, and welcomes the first U.S. envoy--

Mr. John J. Maresca, Vice President for International Relations of the Unocal Corporation, who had implored Congress three years previously to have the Taliban overthrown.

Mr. Maresca was succeeded by Mr. Zalmay Khalilzad--also a former Unocal/CHEVRON consultant. Mr. Khalilzad has since become Ambassador to Iraq. With the Taliban banished and the Bridas contract moot, Presidents Karzai of Afghanistan and Musharraf of Pakistan meet on February 8, 2002, sign an agreement for a new pipeline, and the way forward is open for Unocal/CHEVRON once more.

[ Mr. Khalilzad has since become Ambassador to the United Nations.] replacing Bolton of JINSA/AEI fame...

further on, read this closely...

The Obamanistas must be the dumbest people on the planet, whining about President Barack Obama getting us out of the mess THEY CLAIM that we're in in Iraq.
Barack Obama, if elected president, will get us into a by far worse mess over there. Here's what he told an audience in Georgetown back on December '07:
"If we have actionable intelligence about high-value terrorist targets and President Musharref won't act, we will.....There must be no safe-haven for terrorists who threaten America"
Since President Musharref has already acted and got his nose kicked in when he sent in his troops to the wild tribal areas of Pakistan, it's common sense to think that he won't be sending in any more. Ergo President Barack Obama will act by invading and bombing the Pakistan tribal areas himself, as he said he would. Doing that though will unite all Muslims around the globe, and instead of a war confined in Iraq and Afghanistan, we will have a global war a thousand times more serious and on a massive scale. Barack Obama if elected will cause a religious WW 3 that will make the Iraq war like penny ante pocker

Barack Obama rejected J. Wright, and Hillary leached onto Bill Clinton despite his numerous disrespectful actions against her and the American people. Bill Clinton's sins cost taxpayers millions.

Why do the American people seek to always kill the movement for real positive changes in this country???

FUNNY - How the American people forgot the many lies HilLIARy has told throughout this whole campaign
FUNNY - How the American people forgot how HilLIARy planted people in the audience to ask her specific

What a beautiful thought: Thanks Mrs. Capps =)!

""I believe both Sen. Clinton and Sen. Obama would make fine presidents," she said. "But Sen. Obama's proven judgment, his hopeful vision for America, and his unmatched ability to motivate millions of Americans eager for change made the choice for me."

Saying that she has "enormous respect for Sen. Clinton," Capps acknowledged that Clinton's election would "fulfill a lifelong dream for so many of us who have been fighting for women's rights. She would make a great president."

But, she said, for her Obama was the best choice.

"He has made a call to the better angels of our nature," said the five-term congresswoman. "He is challenging us to lift ourselves out of the ugliness that increasingly consumes Washington, where the heat of your argument counts for more than the light it should bring. He is asking us to stand together as Americans and transcend the traditional lines that have so often divided us by party affiliation, economic status, gender, or race."

That's right. Regardless of our positions in life, our backgrounds, let those of us whom approve of moving forward let us unite. Those who will not, will. Let the rest of us move forward. You all get the nod =) '08!

Barack Obama is in trouble for being a member and supporter of the racist anti-white and anti-America church for over 20 years!
Barack Obama is in trouble for being a soulmate of the racist anti-white and anti-America hater Rev. Wright, who he supported with his money every time the collection plate was passed ($20,500 was his last contribution according to columnist Thomas Sowell)
Barack Obama is in trouble because Rev. Wright was preaching, teaching, and indoctrinating his flock--including Obama and his family--with the hateful racist anti-white and anti-America sermons straight out of Nation of Islam leaders Louis Farrakhans playbook, for 20 years while he sat there in his pew halejuhaing and amening Wright's every word in agreement. He sat there and did nothing because he needed Rev. Wright then in order to get elected. Let me be clear here. Hillary Clinton has nothing to apologize for, nor should she feel tainted because her former Pastor, William Procanick has been convicted of sexual child abuse of a seven year old girl. By the same token, Barack Obama has no responsibility for the words of Rev. Wright, nor for the words of his successors in the pulpit. All of these people have personal responsibility, and Rev. Procanick is going to be answering for his crime. Hillary Clinton has no need to "denounce and reject" the man. Indeed, it may be a good thing if she were to express her sorrow for his crimes and compassion for those the man hurt. But she has no obligation.

BHO + Rev. Wright: "do you know the hallmark of the second-rater? It's resentment of another man's achievement. Those touchy mediocrities who sit trembling lest someone's work prove greater than their own-they have no inkling of the loneliness that comes when you reach the top. The loneliness for an equal-for a mind to respect and an achievement to admire. They bare their teeth at you from out of their rat holes, thinking that you take pleasure in letting your brilliance dim them-while you'd give a year of your life to see a flicker of talent anywhere among them. They envy achievement, and their dream of greatness is a world where all men have become their acknowledged inferiors. They don't know that that dream is the infallible proof of mediocrity, because that sort of world is what the man of achievement would not be able to bear. They have no way of knowing what he feels when surrounded by inferiors-hatred? no, not hatred, but boredom-the terrible, hopeless, draining, paralyzing boredom. Of what account are praise and adulation from men whom you don't respect? Have you ever felt the longing for someone you could admire? For something, not to look down at, but up to?" By Ayn Rand. Written in 1957, and truer today, than ever before.

The bias you're citing is misplaced. The only bias the networks have is to create conflict (artificial or otherwise), which drives circulation, ratings, and page views.

P. Doody: BTW, I did read Alan Greenspan's autobiography! I was just being facetious about Andrea Mitchell. Her reporting is so biased, it's just become a 527 for Obama. I just can't figure out why anyone at NBC wouldn't straighten her -ss out. Matthews and Olbermann, have already lost me. Since Matthews voted for Bush, sometimes I think it's a conspiracy like Limbaugh's operation chaos! MSNBC is an offshoot of HuffPost now and the W. Post/NY Times. The only difference is, I pay for MSNBC on the satellite. Fox is at least at times reporting the news, though heavily right biased. Is it asking too much to get real news without the bias? Well, there is the BBC I guess?

The John Edwards scenario is implausible. This race is a photo finish and Obama will win by a nose. It's always tough to lose a close match, but in these kinds of contests there is little margin for error. Both Clinton and Obama have committed egregious mistakes in this campaign, but Clinton may well have committed one more than Obama.

You may write me down in history
With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may tread me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I'll rise!

This is not the first time you have seen Hillary Clinton seemingly at her wits' end, but she has always risen, always risen, don't forget she has always risen, much to the dismay of her adversaries and the delight of her friends.

Hillary Clinton will not give up on you and all she asks of you is that you do not give up on her. There is a world of difference between being a woman and being an old female. If you're born a girl, grow up, and live long enough, you can become an old female.

But to become a woman is a serious matter. A woman takes responsibility for the time she takes up and the space she occupies.

Hillary Clinton is a woman. She has been there and done that and has still risen. She is in this race for the long haul. She intends to make a difference in our country.

Hillary Clinton intends to help our country to be what it can become. She declares she wants to see more smiles in the family, more courtesies between men and women, more honesty in the marketplace.

She is the prayer of every woman and man who longs for fair play, healthy families, good schools, and a balanced economy.

She means to rise.

Don't give up on Hillary. In fact, if you help her to rise, you will rise with her and help her make this country the wonderful, wonderful place where every man and every woman can live freely without sanctimonious piety and without crippling fear.

Rise, Hillary! Rise!

>>> "Maybe her husband Alan Greenspan holds animosity for his ex-boss?"

ARE YOU KIDDING? Did you actually read his biography? Did you actually see his book tour? Greenspan loves Bill Clinton, as well he should. Clinton believed in and preserved the Fed's independence. Leaving aside for a moment whether you believe the Fed's policies or Greenspan's philosophies are right for the country, Bill Clinton understood the Fed's role and his role as POTUS in dealing with it.

Sigh. If the networks were in the tank for Obama, they woudn't be broadcasting Reverend Wright nonsense on all the 24 hour cable networks. Unless in some kind of warped logic you want to claim that broadcasting Reverend Wright's shenanigans somehow helps Obama. In which case you have zero credibility.

I'm so tired of the Obama network of MSNBC and company. Andrea Mitchell is so biased, she no longer can objectively report the news. Maybe her husband Alan Greenspan holds animosity for his ex-boss? Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann are no better either. I once enjoyed Keith Olbermann, but he's so angry with the HRC it's pathetic. At least Bill Maher doesn't hide the fact that he's an Obama supporter, but MSNBC is pathetic. Now NBC will have Obama for a full hour on Meet the Press this Sunday. This discussion of Rev Wright may prove to be a plus for Obama, with all the free airtime he's getting!

So, the whole media is against Clinton? The vast right-wing conspiracy AND the vast left-wing conspiracy?

Do you see how ludicrous that sounds?

The ONLY thing the media cares about are ratings, circulation, and page views. The ONLY horse the media has in this race is the HORSE RACE between the two candidates. Ask yourself, as the two campaigns have spent close to $350M on this race, who has benefited the most? Newspapers, radio stations, television stations (local and national), and media-run Web sites.

Take the tin foil hats off and start thinking.

Bill: Tonight, she's Bill Clinton's wife, and she says she's running for President. We'll talk to the white Democratic candidate, Hillary Rodham Clinton. Then, an update on the OJ case with Dick Morris and Fred Goldman. What does Jeremiah Wright have to do with the Juice? Careful, you're about to enter a No-Spin Zone.

Bill: Welcome back. Tonight, our talking points. First, Jeremiah Wright. Second, hot air. Third, Jeremiah Wright. Welcome to the Factor, Mrs. Clinton. First, can you tell our audience why it matters to them that you are running?

HC: Well, Bill, you will be glad to note that I am not black. Also, Jeremiah Wright.

Bill: Let me remind you, ma'am, that you are in a no-spin zone. What do you think of high prices in gas and food?

HC: First, Jeremiah Wright. Second, Jeremiah Wright. Third, Jeremiah Wright.

Bill: Hmmm, well I have a degree from Harvard. Tell us, what are your plans for Iraq?

HC: Jeremiah Wright. And don't forget, Jeremiah Wright.

Bill: Thank you, there's one thing I agree on. Lastly, please tell our listeners about your plans for the environment, and remember, I have a degree from Harvard.

HC: Goodness, Bill, what is with these tough questions. I would have to say Jeremiah Wright.

Bill: We'll be right back with Al Sharpton and Robert Shapiro, who will be talking while Jeremiah Wright clips play.

I have been saying that the idea of Obama as the trancendent candidate is a joke now.

Bill Sammon just said something similar - he said that Obama's campaign as the post-racial candidate is OVER.

The basic truth is that the Obama campaign has lost its theme - its gone - he is a CANDIDATE WITHOUT A CAUSE. While his most ardent supporters may believe the transcendent theme, the vast majority of Americans will mock it - and certainly the voters in the center of the political spectrum this fall will not be swayed by it.

It is very curious - Obama is a man marrooned in a sea of campaign themes.

He is more like the eskimo that came from Greenland to New York - after a few years he did not belong in Greenland, nor did he ever fit in New York. Obama is neither of the white world or of the black community - in truth he is an affirmative action tradedy - pushed so far up to where he has lost touch with all around him - even his campaign theme.

It truly is odd.

Could we be facing a democratic nominee who wins but finds his campaign rational discredited to such a point that it is useless to gain any support in the crucial middle which is essential in Nov election?

Well Well Welll

Yes - Hillary has stated she gets the debate questions first - but that's a fact - not a whine.
Obama whines and complains about debate questions that are routinely discussed daily on rightwing talk radio.

You'd think he want to clear up any rumors and misconceptions. But NOOOOO!
The elitist Obama was too good to answer questions.
And his followers even protested outside ABC studios in San Fran - making Obama appear even weaker and whinier.

I'm a 45 yr "young" woman who was really looking forward to having a woman in the White House. I've always thought of Hillary as a strong woman, courageous and true to her responsibilities as a wife and Help-meet, but this long range of events have been more than I ever would have expected from her! Deep down, we all know how bad she wants to win this election and she may even feel she's the better "MAN" (wo-man) for the job; but somehow and somewhere, she seems as if she has lost herself. She no longer personafies a person of integrity; one who can stand true to herself and our nation. It's unfortuante, but she acts like an elementary school bully - mad and angry at the world which is unfair to all of us. Other countries are laughing at us because we have stooped so low and gotten away from the issues and the pains we, as Americans are facing. We're too busy throwing rocks - yes, even some of you who have written on this comment blog. We've got major problems in this country and you sit back and waste your time and concern over a pastor who is only a man with flaws - just like the rest of us! Obama, who I am voting for has flaws just like you and I. Heck, the last time I checked he couldn't walk on water - unlike President Lincoln, Ford, Roosevelt, Carter, Husband Clinton and the rest of those rascals. Question: ARE THEY GOD? We as a people of the USA should consider and be careful to not get so caught up in hype from the media before we get lost in our country's plight. Let's stop the backbiting, the killing with words and guns that only those who don't love eachother use. We're trying to do something here - GET SERIOUS AND MAKE SOME SERIOUS DECISIONS. Whoever you vote for - at least do it for all the right reasons - not over someone talking about something that will not help us keep food on our tables or jobs for us to go to! Please don't allow the media and the nonsense of every flawed man and woman, every flawed network station or reporter mess with your mind and keep you from making thoughtout and clear vision of what we really need to help our struggling economy. No one is going to hold your hand to help you make that vote - you're adults, for goodness sake - listen to the cries of YOUR people and stop acting like you don't love the folks you say you care about! Don't you want better jobs, lower gas prices, our children, husbands AND wives, cousins, neices and nephews, etc. to come home from a war that is high time to be over? Come on - get serious and stop playing Russian Roulette! I love Hillary and Bill - always will. Voted for Bill two (2) terms and think Hillary is such a super lady, but negativity is not what we need right now. We need to make postive and thoughtout choices that will make us a stronger, better and help us to come together; instead of fighting (as I know some of you will also come against me). Well, my fight is not against you - it's against the sufferings of our people and if you were really concerned as you act, then you would stop the chicken-fights and calm down - unity is the key! We have power in numbers! Bickering like children only adds fire to the hurt and pain of those around us - to the jobless; those without health coverage; to the homeless, to the hungry and worried. USA Family members stop fighting amongst yourselves and start thinking about what you say and how you say it. Does love have to hurt? I always thought love was an action word!

Please, let's become atuned to what really matters before we miss out on what truly counts - our families and the future generations to come!

Love you all,Wanda

THE END GAME GOES LIKE THIS...

Hillary continues to gain momentum even as some supers pledge allegiance to Obama.

Hillary wins Indiana and comes within a hair's breadth of Obama's vote total in N.C.

Obama's superdelegate count begins to erode as previously pledged supers flee his candidacy and go with the voters' flow.

Hillary meets "secretly" with Colin Powell, asking that he campaign for her in exchange for the VP slot, should she prevail over Obama. But word of the tete-a-tete conveniently leaks out.

To Hillary's chagrin, Powell says thanks but no thanks.

Now the supers feel betrayed, furious at Hillary's party disloyalty. They send a delegation to meet with Obama and demand that he get a grip on the situation.

Shocked -- yes, SHOCKED -- over Hillary's latest power play, Obama finally takes charge. He calls up John Edwards and strikes a deal: He'll throw his delegates to Edwards and run as his VP if that's what it takes to keep Hillary out of the White House.

Edwards accepts. Gore endorses Edwards-Obama, as does Biden, Dodd, et. al.

The supers breathe a sigh of relief and sign on en mass to the New Democratic Order.

Checkmated, Hillary withdraws from the race, now consumed with the fear that her aborted run for the White House has jeopardized her Senate seat.

Bill Clinton publicly professes outrage at the backroom dealmaking. But privately, he shrugs and breaks into a sly smile, relieved that he doesn't have to accept the role of Number Two. He goes back to his foundation work and doing what he does best -- his lucrative speaking engagements, of course.

Hillary abandons her Chappaqua home and holes up in Washington to command her renomination fight. She has a hard time recruiting her team. Only Wolfson and Penn sign up, because they can't find other work. Mandy Grunwald takes a job at the DNC, relieved that she's still employable.

Meanwhile, Chelsea ponders a run for Congress, a political insurance policy that will manage to keep the family in politics under a President Edwards administration.

Hey, Obama supporters. Answer this question -- what change did Barack Obama bring to his last job? He was part and parcel of the Illinois slime machine that sent one governor to jail, another on the way, cronyism, corruption and nepotism (hello Mrs. Obama). Did he help the people of Chicago -- it has never been more dangerous. 60% high school drop out rate, record gang violence, terrorists as "educators", racist preachers stoking violence -- this is the kind of change you want to nationalize? Do we need Obama's Chicago style politics?

The Clintons have always been centrist Democrats. Some of their policies have been very Republican in nature (reduced spending, smaller government) while others have been very Democratic (abortion rights, gay rights, environment, ineptness in foreign policy, etc).

Alan Greenspan said Bill Clinton was the most impressive of the six presidents he worked with.

You can make your own judgement about that. I happen to think the prosperity of the 90s was tempered by what we saw in the early 2000s: lots of companies running amok with balance sheets and no adult supervision from a lax Federal government. Not unlike the Bush 43 administration, as it turns out. I'm a huge believer in free markets, but the Federal Government has to act as the referee to ensure fairness and ethics in every industry under its purview. Without the referee, the game gets out of hand really quickly.

At least Hillary knows that by going on Fox News, Fox News will report everything fairly and honestly unlike the rest where Barack Obama rules and where they'll do anything they can to get him elected. While the MSM is nothing more than the Democratic Party's propaganda arm, they do favor Obama's politically correct skin color over Hillary's.

Posted by: sparks USN | April 30, 2008 5:38 PM

I think you just proved that you are not a very intelligent person. While yes, the MSM has a liberal slant, Fox News goes completely to the other end of the spectrum with their conservative slant. To say they will report eveything "fairly and honestly" is LAUGHABLE.

Hillary going on Fox News speaks for itself. She has been acting like a right wing Republican for a long time.

Keith Olbermann on his COUNTDOWN about a month ago gave a powerful commentary on her acting like a republican.

Democrats of Indiana and N. Carolina should be very careful in their choice.

The Clinton (via Evan Bayh) argument that Obama shouldn't be the nominee because he might get "Swiftboated" is pretty much why the Democratic Party can't win elections and hasn't cracked 50% in the popular vote since 1976. They have a scared, loser mindset and, as everyone knows, such things tend to be self-fulfilling prophecies.

I'm a Republican planning on voting for Obama, but it never ceases to amaze me how inept the Democratic Party is.

The Post should follow up on this fact: on June 9, 1969, Dr. D.M. McArtor, then Deputy Director of Research and Technology for the Department of Defense, appeared before the House Subcommittee on Appropriations to request funding for a project to produce a synthetic biological agent for which humans have not yet acquired a natural immunity. Dr. McArtor asked for $10 million dollars to produce this agent over the next 5-10 years. The Congressional Record reveals that according to the plan for the development of this germ agent, the most important characteristic of the new disease would be "that it might be refractory [resistant] to the immunological and therapeutic processes upon which we depend to maintain our relative freedom from infectious disease". AIDS first appeared as a public health risk ten years later.

My favorite part of this whole campaign has been the Clinton discovery of not only a vast right-wing conspiracy, but a vast left-wing conspiracy as well.

My second favorite part has been the truly brilliant (I mean this from a political junkie's perspective) Clintonian ability to take their clear weaknesses (integrity, honesty, working man credentials) and paint them on their opponent. Politicians like that are (thankfully) rare, but nonetheless marvels to behold.

Hillary's recollection of her husband's Administration is, of course, purely political. She can claim credit for all of his successes, but distance herself from all of his failures. While I do agree that her marriage to a former POTUS amounts to a hyper-paced internship in leading the free world, I find it a strain on credibility to call that "experience".

Posted by: B. Lloyd | April 30, 2008 5:08 PM | Report abuse

Someone wrote the Post below but it is hard to see how even a Left Wing Loony can seriously refute the Logic. However, as most Americans with common sense realize when it comes to the Loony Left or the Right Wing nuts Logic has no place, they are govern by Illogical emotions and Passions. But one thing is for sure Obama is either ONE Oblivious to the obvious & his Stupidly is on equal to or greater than the Current Moron in the WH or TWO he is lying so blatantly that his next book should be about The Audacity of Lies.

Americans don't need pundits to "tell us" what we can easily see for ourselves; Reverend Wright is completely incapable of censoring himself for 5 minutes much less 2 decades - yet Barack Obama still expects us to believe he never heard and wasn't aware of the true sentiments of Reverend Wright.

It is simply not plausible for anyone to believe Barack Obama watched tapes of Reverend Wright in college (as he has admitted to doing), was a member of that church for 20 years, chose Reverend Wright to be his personal spiritual mentor for over 17 years where they held personal one on one conversations and yet, somehow, Wright never shared with Barack Obama what he has so willingly shared and literally sold on tapes to the entire world.

Americans may be naive at times, but even white stupid bitter rednecks that Believe in God, loves this Nation and support the second Amendment, know this much: When you take money out of your wallet and lay that money down for the same cause, week after week, month after month, year after year, for 20 years...you HAVE endorsed and believe in their Message and you have most assuredly endorsed the MESSENGER. Period.

The most significantly telling aspect of Senator Obama's press conference on Tuesday is that, once again, like the ABC debate, we witness a petulant and irritated Senator Obama; angry that he is being asked to take responsibility for the choices he has made regarding his personal and professional associations. Apparently Senator Obama believes his words are so magical that they alone should instantly be able to wipe clean 20 years of actions that directly contradict and disprove his excuses. Give me the names of any other politicians where we take them at their word alone. Good luck. Senator Obama decries that further questioning is "getting off message" while, conveniently, never connecting that a candidate's beliefs and character are every bit as much a part of "the message" as policy promises.

A few short weeks ago, in Philadelphia, Senator Obama hypnotized the world into believing his grandmother was racist, Geraldine Ferraro was a racist and the American public were racists, while completely ignoring the fact that the very reason everyone had gathered in that room was due to his decision to support an Extremist Black Agenda...for 20 years. He is now attempting once again to shift the blame for this crisis onto Reverend Wright by clinging to the excuse that the Wright of today differs drastically from the Wright who led him to Jesus. Does Senator Obama not realize that we can easily recall that it was not even one year ago that Senator Obama is seen on film lauding the "current" Reverend Wright at Hampton University as "a great leader, not just for Chicago, but for all over our country"? Does he not realize that we recall that it was only 4 short months ago that Senator Obama was so pleased with the "current" Reverend Wright, that he personally placed him on his Presidential Election Campaign through his "National African American Religious Leadership Committee"? He wasn't "disapproving" of the "current" Reverend Wright 4 months ago.

Reverend Wright is Reverend Wright; he espouses what he believes, like it or not and tapes reveal his message has remained constant. The change is not coming from Reverend Wright, the only change in this entire scenario is that Wright's message is no longer politically advantageous to Senator Obama and that is the only reason we have now seen a denouncement - after 20 years of full fledged acceptance and endorsement.

How long will Americans allow a top contender for President of the United States to repeatedly hide behind, "I didn't know" with regard to Wright, Rezko and so many other important issues and even more importantly what else do WE not know?

Hoosier Responsible?
Clinton Decries China's Acquisition of Indiana Company -- Ignoring Her Husband's Role in the Sale

By JAKE TAPPER
Apr. 30, 2008--

As she campaigns throughout Indiana, Sen. Hillary Clinton has been talking quite a bit about Magnequench, a Valparaiso, Ind., factory that moved to China.

"We've got to elect a president next January who's going to remember Magnequench," Clinton told voters in Valparaiso on April 12.

It seems, however, that when it comes to Magnequench there's quite a bit that Clinton has conveniently forgotten.

"We went to Valparaiso," Clinton told voters in Princeton, Ind., last night, "where there used to be a plant called Magnequench that made the magnets that helped to guide the precision-guided missiles, the so-called smart bombs. You've seen those --they take off, they go down the chimney, they were incredibly sophisticated and these magnets, you know -- not the kind you put on the refrigerator, like we all do -- but these really sophisticated magnets were instrumental making that happen."

Clinton continued, saying, "Well, a Chinese company bought Magnequench and then they decided that they were going to move the whole company from Indiana to China. Now the president of the United States has the authority to veto that kind of a move, but Senator [Evan] Bayh begged the Bush administration not to export it it was going to lose jobs but it was also going to lose the know-how, the technical sophistication that created those magnets. President Bush and his administration wouldn't, basically wouldn't even give Evan Bayh the time of day. Those jobs left, and along with them went the savvy to make the magnets."

What Clinton doesn't tell voters is that Magnequench was originally sold to Chinese interests during her husband's administration, which okayed the move despite concerns about national security and eventual job loss. Experts say the Chinese acquired the "technical sophistication" that created the magnets long before George W. Bush took office.

Sen. Evan Bayh, D-Ind,, Clinton's top surrogate in the state, often joins her on the stump in bashing the president for allowing Magnequench to move abroad. What Bayh doesn't tell voters these days is that he has blamed the company's moving on a 1995 decision made by Clinton's husband's administration. ...

In the dictionary there's a picture of Hillary dodging sniper-fire on her 1996 trip to Tuzla; there's another picture of her passing the S-CHIP bill (with her head superimposed on Ted's body); and the American Medical Family Leave Act (her head pasted over Dodds).

I understand there are other pictures of her winning the Nobel Peace prize for bringing peace to Ireland. She also apparently brought negotiated the opening of the border between Macedonia and Kosovo -- there's a picture of that too.

There's yet another picture of her "fighting" hard against the NAFTA trade agreement; and our giving favored trading status to China and Vietnam.

All excellent illustrations of what a liar looks like.

Well, I will just add that I hope this is the final straw for black america voting for the Dems all these 100 years while they are being **** in the rear without any grease. This time they better get serious and think long and hard as to which party they want to associated with. I would ask all black americans to change their status to independent and take a good look at the republican party to seee if and how they can come together on some issues. The DEMS have shown us which party is the most intolerable--at least I know where the republicans stand vs. the DEMs whose cover have been blown for who they really are. I would not go as far as to vote for John but I will sit this one out.

I can't find my brain. I think I may have pasted it here somewhere. Has anyone seen it? not that I really need it or use it ever. It's just that it is drafty in here with all that empty space. I am pretty much used to it though.

Where will the extreme left turn now that both Obama and Clinton have both failed their media purity test and appeared on FNC?

You Obama supporters/losers should just give it up. If you wanna unify this country, you have to deal with Fox News, since that's what red staters watch. As for Wright, gimme a break. Obama was in that freaky church for 20 years. Wright married him and his wife, and baptized his kids. And Obama just realized today that Wright is a hate-monger? Obama is a divisive lier that is destroying the Democratic party. If that spineless latte-sipping America hating liberal is the nominee, I'll vote for McCain.

So does Hillary want to talk about her pastor from NY?

Rev. William Procanick: A convicted pedophile. Who "Rubbed" little girls on their legs. So is Hillary a pedophile because she chose to stay in that church? Is Hillary a pedophile because she hasn't "DENOUNCED" that nasty man? So did Hillary get up and walk out of the church because this man was touching little girls in the church? HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM I didn't think so. Let's talk about that. Wright isn't racist, he is just an old black man that is tired of people being treated in a negative way and it's time to take a stand. You say it's nonsense to think that AIDS was created by the government, BUT SHALL WE FORGET ABOUT THE TUSKEGEE EXPERIMENT Where thousands of people were infected by the government like little rats with SYPHOLLIS. Some died and some were blind, some committed suicide and all because OUR PRECIOUS LITTLE GOVERNMENT TREATED THE BLACKS LIKE LITTLE LAB RATS AND LIED TO THEM ABOUT WHAT WAS GOING ON! So really is it that far fetched? So what he thinks that the bombings of other countries were wrong, does that make him a racist, no it just makes him a FAR LEFT LIBERAL who thinks that the government is a bully and they think they can get away with anything. So that's not racist. And the whole chicken coming home to roost was a "QUOTED" statement from someone else and it was taken out of context like everything else these crazy people do.

Poll shows Obama ahead with N.J. Democrats

April 30, 2008

TRENTON, N.J.

Support among New Jersey Democrats in the presidential race appears to be shifting to Barack Obama.

A Monmouth University/Gannett New Jersey poll finds 45 percent of the Democrats and Democrat-leaning independents surveyed would like to see Obama get the party's nomination compared to 38 percent for Hillary Clinton.

Clinton beat Obama in the state's Democratic primary in February by a 10-point margin.

Nearly 40 percent of the Democrats polled say the continuing battle between the presidential candidates will damage the party's chances in November. ...

END SPIRITUALIZTION OF POLITICS

Guantalamo BAY FOR THE MENTORS

Posted by: lock em up | April 30, 2008 4:45 PM | Report abuse

The Clinton camp continues to play into the GOP game by bringing up Rev. Wright whenever possible. Here she is sneakily implying that somehow Obama did not thoroughly and definitively severe his ties to the renegade reverend. The Clintons, who also have connections to Wright as a spiritual guide, will continue to beat this dead horse until it is equine soup.

Please, media, give this one up and let's move on to more pressing issues like the tanking economy, the bogus proposals for gas tax relief, declining women's health status, the global food crisis, and the rocketing violence in Baghdad.
