FixCam: On Cindy McCain

Above you'll find a Fix riff -- we'll be doing more of these in the near future -- about the role Cindy McCain played at a press conference earlier this week in which her husband, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), denied rumors that he had an untoward relationship with a female lobbyist.

Make sure to read Libby Copeland's terrific piece in today's Post that provides some insight into Cindy McCain the person, and how she views her role in her husband's presidential campaign.

Our take: She helped him considerably by presenting a united front, expressing her disappointment with the New York Times report and noting that it adversely affected the couple's children.

Offer your own thoughts on whether Cindy McCain helped or hurt her husband's cause in the comments section below. And, have a great weekend!
