Ah the glories of airplane travel. The Fix -- along with several other reporters and interested parties -- was booked on a pre-noon flight down to lovely Charleston. Five hours of delays later on an airline that will go unnamed and the Fix is still in our nation's capitol.
But, never fear loyal Fix-ites/Fixees/Fixatics. We persevere. We'll still provide live-blogging of tonight's festivities, which begin at 7 pm on CNN. And, as one colleague noted, our remote viewership is in keeping with the spirit of tonight's debate which will feature only questions posed by regular Americans via YouTube. (As the Politico's Ben Smith notes in a post on a lunch interview with YouTube's founders, the intent of their political involvement seems to be to take power from early voting states -- of which South Carolina is one.)
For the next few hours feel free to use the comments section to offer your predictions for tonight. (An Obama adviser emailed us this gem a little while ago: "Watch for Obama to deliver a forceful call for change, contrasting other candidates' focus on old fights and yesterday's news.") And, if you're so inclined, go ahead and give me your worst travel story -- I'm looking for some empathy after my ordeal today.
