Rep. Duncan Hunter (Calif.), who won praise for his showing in the first Republican presidential debate, throws down the commander-in-chief gauntlet.

"One of us is going to be a commander-in-chief in a few months," said Hunter before detailing his time as chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, his service in Vietnam as well as his son's time in Iraq. "I can look at the American people and say we are in this together. I think the other guys should lay out their credentials to be commander in chief."

Co-moderator Chris Wallace quickly moved on.
