McCain Makes An Appearance

As we wrote earlier today, the emergence of Sen. John McCain (Ariz.) as the likely Republican nominee would almost certainly impact tonight's Democratic debate.

Obama just used McCain as a foil to castigate Republicans for their fiscal responsibility. He praised McCain for voting against the original Bush tax cut but then joked "somewhere along the line the 'Straight Talk Express' lost some wheels."

Somewhere McCain is grinning. The more he is attacked by Democrats, the more the base of the Republican party will rally around him.

Also, was that a shot of Seinfeld's Jason Alexander in the crowd?!?

Greetings to The Fix from North Carolina!

You just wrote on your blog:

"Obama just used McCain as a foil to castigate Republicans for their fiscal responsibility."

Uh, what?

Huh?

Why would Obama castigate McCain and/or the rest of the Republicans for fiscal responsibility? That makes no sense at all, none.

Did you mean instead "irresponsibility?"

Thanks for all your good work -- I enjoy your blog -- one of the better ones anyone out there is writing about American electoral politics these days, I think.

buzzm1--Yeah, immigration is SUCH an important issue that the republicans are about to nominate, John McCain? Catch a clue, immigration anger may be a mile deep but its an inch wide. Go crawl back into your hole.

As for Spiiffy2--"Vote 4 Hillary or Vote 4 a Republican." Why, because they're essentially the same thing?

It would be hard to call Barack a liar. His statements are all so broad and general and feel good. Truth is he never really says anything except vote for me and i will change everything and hey the Kennedys all like me. Barack has no plan, doesn't know the issues and can't do anything but give 5 secound soundbites and speeches written by someone else.

Obama's amnesty policy is NOTHING compared to the harm that the Clintons will do.

Just because Edwards is gone... it doesn't make Hillary any more appealing. She is EVIL!!!! All those that have the slightest clue to what sort of person she is, and promotes her is Evil!

We MUST fight the EVIL!

The Clintons Lie!!!

And the Media has completed the goal of a Theocracy by shoving John Edwards out of the race by manipulating the general public.

John Edwards won the previous Debate by an overwhelming majority ~ and now he's out.

We all need to realize the if we don't commit to war on the Clintons, NO MATTER WHAT - the divide between the wealthy and poor with seperate tens times the former rate. That is where we are in American History. Just look at the way these neo-cons have treated people that struggle.

I know many, many, people who won't vote for Barack, because of his support for amnesty,

and this next statement is very, very, important....

I don't know one single solitary soul, who wants to vote for Barack because of his support FOR Amnesty.

You can take that to the bank!!!!!
