Daniels not backing off social 'truce' comments

Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels (R) isn't backing down from his suggestion that Republicans declare a "truce" on social issues. In a new interview, he expands on the idea that there are more pressing concerns right now and declines to throw a bone to social conservatives who have expressed concern about whether he is on their side.

Eric Woolson signs on with Tim Pawlenty

Eric Woolson, a top aide to former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (Ark.) in the 2008 Iowa caucuses, has signed on with former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty for the coming 2012 contest, according to several sources familiar with the decision.
