Does the Senate still work? (VIDEO)
For as long as anyone can remember, there have been outspoken critics of the Senate and how it goes about -- or doesn't go about -- its business.
But, more recently, those critics have been joined in their chorus by an unlikely source: the Senators themselves.
Retiring Ohio Republican Sen. George Voinovich suggested earlier this week that the only solution to the problem was to "blow up the place".
Earlier this year, retiring Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh (D) penned a New York Times op-ed in which he suggested the need for fundamental reform of the Senate in order for the chamber to once again solve the problems of the American people.
What's the problem with the Senate and will it change? We answer those questions in today's "Fast Fix" episode. Don't forget to check out all of our "Fast Fix" daily videos here. And, if you have a topic you want to see us break down in "Fast Fix" just email firstname.lastname@example.org with it.
