Fast Fix: Michael Steele and the RNC
The news that several leading members of the Republican National Committee are working to recruit a challenger to Chairman Michael Steele has, once again, re-started the debate over whether Steele can -- and should -- be reelected.
Steele allies note that he was the head of a party that saw across-the-board gains last Tuesday and deserves far more credit than he gets. Detractors argue that the gains were made in spite of Steele not because of him.
