Fast Fix: Senate retirement rush (VIDEO)
In the first two months of the 2012 election cycle, eight Senators -- four Democrats, three Republicans and Connecticut Independent Sen. Joe Lieberman -- have announced they won't be running for re-election.
That's the most retirement at this point in an election in more than 100 years and could set 2012 on a course to break the record set in 1996 of 13 Senate retirements.
Why are so many Senators jumping ship? And what does it mean for the institution? We tackle both of those questions in today's episode of the "Fast Fix".
