Fast Fix: Tea party takedown? (VIDEO)
Indiana Sen. Dick Lugar (R) has spent much of the last few months poking his finger in the collective eye of the tea party movement.
In a recent sit-down with reporters, Lugar said the tea partiers were driven by "large cliches" not specific policy proposals. He added: "In essence, they are unhappy about life in America and they want to express themselves."
The tea party has responded in kind; 70 leaders of various tea party groups in the state met recently in an attempt to unite behind a single candidate to challenge Lugar in next year's primary.
