Fast Fix: Tea party takedown? (VIDEO)

By Chris Cillizza

Indiana Sen. Dick Lugar (R) has spent much of the last few months poking his finger in the collective eye of the tea party movement.

In a recent sit-down with reporters, Lugar said the tea partiers were driven by "large cliches" not specific policy proposals. He added: "In essence, they are unhappy about life in America and they want to express themselves."

The tea party has responded in kind; 70 leaders of various tea party groups in the state met recently in an attempt to unite behind a single candidate to challenge Lugar in next year's primary.

All that and more in today's episode of "Fast Fix". And, don't forget to check out all of our "Fast Fix" daily videos here. And, if you have a topic you want to see us break down in "Fast Fix" just email chris.cillizza@wpost.com with it.
