The Conservative Political Action Conference enters its second day with a parade of would-be presidential candidates set to address the crowd today.

Before CPAC ends tomorrow night, no fewer than eight people looking at national bids in 2012 will have spoken including frontrunning former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.

But, does a strong CPAC performance matter in the fight for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination? Yes and no.
