Blagojevich: Animated

Think you've had enough of the juicy details contained in the 70-plus page criminal complaint filed against Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich last week?

Think again. Check out this jib-jab-esque re-creation of "Pay-Rod" put together by post.com videographer Akira "Aki" Hakuta.

Pretty funny, but I have a couple of points to add:

1. You portray the FBI surveilliance vehicle parked outside the State Capitol as if Blago were being wiretapped at his official office. The Capitol is in Springfield, 200 miles away from Blago's actual residence in Chicago.

2. Wesdane, this investigation was NOT "ended early" but has been going on for years. There were strong hints being given, several months ago, that the feds were about ready to indict him on tax evasion, fraud and perjury charges. He has been under investigation for over three years and the feds have MUCH more on him than just the attempted "sale" of the Senate seat. That was just icing on a very, very big cake.

I am so disappointed with the press in the U.S. There willingness to overlook the obvious is becoming legendary. They let Bush get away with eight years of lies. Not until the end do they even try to expose the truth. One day the President gets on television and says that the financial markets have failed. Once again the President broke the news and they have the nerve to pontifcate on the scenery. The U.S. press in all of its forms has once again proven itself to be the hind teet when it comes to integrity and usefulness to a once free society. The latest case in point the goings on with the the gov. of Ill.. Once again the little piggies line up at the troph to regergitate and suppose just what they have been told to suppose. You can't tell the difference from one news magazine to the next. I keep wating for someone to figure something out. As in this case I am not nearly as interested in anything the gov. did. The real question it seems to me is, why a federal corruption investigation was ended so early. An ongoing federal investigation stopped dead in its tracks just when the rabbit was about to go down the hole. This was an obvious attempt to warn all parties involved. A politically motivated gesture aimed at protecting the guilty. Lets say two narc's were on a stake out trying bust a drug ring and when the first drug dealer shows up and the narc's jump out and say gotcha. The dope isn't there, the money is not there and no exchange is made! See what I am saying!
