Primary Day Prediction Contest!

Voters are voting in South Carolina, North Carolina and Utah today.

Another primary day is here and, with it, another Fix prediction contest!

What better way to wile away the hours between now and when polls close in South Carolina (7 p.m.), North Carolina (7:30 p.m.) and Utah (10 p.m.) -- all times eastern -- than to offer your guesstimates on how it will all shake out?!

At stake? The unending adulation of Fixistas across the country and the world. Also, an official Fix T-shirt.

So, without further adieu, here are the races where we want your predictions. All predictions must be put in the comment section below, and, since polls close in the Palmetto State at 7 p.m., any predictions offered after that time won't be eligible to win.

* What percentage of the vote does South Carolina state Rep. Nikki Haley win in the Republican gubernatorial runoff?

* Predict the order of finish with percentages in the North Carolina Senate runoff race between Democrats Secretary of State Elaine Marshall and former state Sen. Cal Cunningham.

Predict away!

sounds like the drillers have a good cause
for a TRO and the appeals process is usually
expedited for injunctive relief once an appeal
bond is posted. My guess is that the Justice
Dept will want to delay the appeal for months
to give them time to complete to complete their investigation but mark in austin is likely more versed on the likely of the drillers prevailing.
Again imho Congressman Cao had the perfect compromise as long as none of BP's deep
wells like the Antlantis is included.
this is a hard call b/c the gulf coast
will be hurt by the 6 month moratorium, but
another disaster in the gulf especially with
hurricane season now in force would make
this disaster, cataclysmic and partisans
would be the first ones jumping down Obama's throat if that happened. They know that, they will just never admit it.

being from Texas where we have a vested interest in opening up those 33 rigs for economic reasons I would agree with Congressman
Cao's compromise sollution and hope it is given
serious consideration. BUT, I certainly would not allow ANY of BP's wells including the
Atlantis to operate until the Horizon is capped, and there is zero leakage and a majority of the gulf oil is cleaned up,
and we have detailed engineering supported drilling plans with multiple layers of prevention that have been throughly inspected.

as to allowing the 33 deepwater wells to immediately start driling what will these
same folks say if another explodes while they are cleaning up the Horizon BP disaster? I think most of us know that answer.

How about other BP wells like the 7000 foot Atlantis Platform, are conservatives willing to allow BP to continue drilling at the Atlantis site before the Horizon site is even capped?

There you are. You must be familiar with the guys on the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. What are the odds of Obama prevailing in an appeal of this ruling? And will the moratorium hold until the appeals process is exhausted or does the judge's ruling hold sway?

have been throughly inspected. In Houston we endured another BP disaster when their Texas
City plant exploded in 2005 killing 15. So while we have sympathy for the ruffnecks and their families, working the rigs we have long memories about BP's shoddy safety record.

The discourse on this thread proves how against the Bill of Rights the Obama people are.

It proves the leftists are unAmerican.

Everytime someone calls the Obama people socialist and Marxist, this is what they mean.

The Obama people do not respect the First Amendment.

The Obama people do not respect America.

interesting you would post this idiotic
comment considering that 100% of Congressional
Rs have opposed this fix to Medicare
reimbursements. In otherwords they want
to have their cake, whining about the shortfall, then eat it too, by their opposition:

"How's Medicare Reimbursement going for you Obama?- 21% cut yesterday and until Congress gets its act together- pretty soon our parents won't be able to find a doctor" thanks to continued R obstruction.

You have been banned

And I haven't taken away anyone's soapbox

Clearly everyone here can still speak.

If you are still here, after being banned 3 times, why do you try to get others banned ???

You think that will stop other people ?

First Amendment allows you to stand on your own soapbox and criticize your government without being chraged with sedition.

It's not a license to steal someone else's soapbox nor to blast a foghorn while others are trying to speak on their own soapboxes.

CC and minions, ban this junkie.

BTW. It is not possible to:

retire early if you are already 55

Know more about success and productivity than Cilizza or Palin if you are a stunted, bald, lonely old Ped. that train has left your station in life. Accept your failure and revel in it, like Obammy.

TO ALL THOSE ADVOCATING BANNING

If you don't like the First Amendment and the Bill of Rights - go to the airport and leave the country.

At least one of you has said he is leaving the country.

Harassment of people exercising their right is a CIVIL RIGHTS VIOLATION - JUST AS IF YOU WERE HARASSING SOMEONE GOING TO VOTE.

So, think about it

Either LOVE THE FIRST AMENDMENT OR LEAVE THE COUNTRY.

37thand0street is annoying and should be banned.

His constant repetition of the same posts shows a disrespect for all of us. It is like spam but much more annoying because we really like politics and choose to be here.

Having different opinions is what makes this great but some have to be right all the time. People should be able to safely express their opinions and move on.

This is the best blog in the Post.

Rules for loiberal blogs, including this one:

The DUMB Lays Down the Law

The loons at the Democrat Underground Message Board (DUMB) have decided that there's been an intolerable amount of deviance from the party line. Therefore, board administrators have laid down a ridiculously detailed list of rules to micromanage what is acceptable commentary in DUmmieland. Here are but a few of the new rules.

{ } Inappropriate attacks against Democrats
- Insults against prominent Democrats, such as "F--- Obama."
- Name-calling against prominent Democrats. Calling Barack Obama "Barry" or some other name.
- Repeating Republican partisan attacks against Democrats.
- Broadly suggesting that there is no difference between Barack Obama and George W. Bush, or that there is no difference between Democrats and Republicans. (Arguing that specific policies are the same would be permitted.)
- Suggesting that President Obama has perpetrated a "con job" or "fraud," or similarly over-the-top assertions of bad faith.
- Advocating voting against Democrats, or in favor of third-party or GOP candidates.
- Broad-brush smears against Democrats generally. Broad expressions of contempt toward Democrats generally.

Wouldn't it have been easier just to say "all criticism of Democrats is forbidden?"

Violators of the new rule will be hit with the ban-hammer. Just like on LGF.

Reluctantly make it 5...

My muse, 37thand0street, should retire with a proper recognition for his passionate, if sometimes ranting, contributions here. A New Orleans style funeral comes to mind.

He may now be "hard of reading", forget the Caps are on and suffer silently from a line spacing syndrome caused by kindergarten angst but there was a pure spirit inside that virulently hated President Obama to no end. It was never personal, Obama was black.

37 was allegedly a bad bed wetter and parked his car outside the lines regularly. I can attest to falsity of the latter. Those false rumors were circulated by NeoCom Statists according to leapin. leapin may be right on that count, if we can find out what that is to avoid it in the future.

Peace 37,
Marie

would like to predict that if 37thand0street is not banned (don't you read your own blog?) that we will have to organize a Worst Week in Washington for you by boycotting this blog.

Everything (and I do mean everything) has been tried to get him to restrain himself - it is in your court Chris.

Seconded on banning 37th. His posts contribute about as much to this blog as a clogged disposal contributes to dinner. Hysterical unintelligible junk with loads of extra carriage returns to take up space. Jake got banned for doing the same thing, and 37th has been doing it every day for months. He's also strung out on speed and showing the paranoia of prolonged heavy use. Get rid of him.
