I just wanted to say to Jim and Chris that wearing matching shirts was a really cute idea.

I also agree with Adam. You talk about the Lewis-Weaver race as if it is happening in a vacuum and that the Iraq war is not an issue. Do any of the conservative Democratic voters feel as if Bush misled them on the war? I believe Weaver has the credentials to capitalize on that issue.

Adam has that exactly right, Chris. You are simply reinforcing the frames that Rove has constructed. Please, for the sake of our country, think.

Chris and Jim,

You're painting a pretty broad stroke of the Democratic Party. You mentioned how our national leaders are associated with gun control. Did you forget that Howard Dean always got an A rating from the NRA when he was governor?

You also did not mention Harry Reid who is actually against abortion.

And I don't think John Murtha could be classified as a San Francisco liberal.

If you keep parroting GOP talking points, then they tend to become reality in peoples minds.

I thought about the gentlemen on this ramble as I spied a CNN news story called:

"Getaways with the guys, or mancations, are hot."

LOL
