"Topline" on Super Senate Tuesday

Earlier today we appeared on "TopLine" the ABC News/Washington Post web video collaboration that streams live EVERY DAY from noon to 12:15. Bookmark it!

The discussion centered around the amazing day of primaries -- and special elections -- tomorrow. We touched on Pennsylvania (Arlen Specter vs Joe Sestak), Arkansas (Blanche Lincoln vs Bill Halter vs DC Morrison) and Kentucky (Rand Paul vs Trey Grayson).

Talking about all the contests tomorrow spawned a thought: We have yet to come up with a good name for the panoply of primaries (heyooooo!) set for tomorrow.

NBC's Chuck Todd (aka the "Goateed One") has dubbed it "Super Senate Tuesday". Not bad. Not bad at all. We've proposed a few other options. Vote away!

@drindl: it's called the "magisterial we.". Cillizza must be swelling with self-approbation, probably got an attaboy for being such a loyal Republican water-carrier, fronting rumors, propagating lies, repeating GOP slanders as straight news.

Chris, I have to say, you are taking the Queen Victoria 'we' a little far.

When you say, 'we appeared on whatever,' who is the 'we'?

If you meant to say, 'I appeared', please do so, otherwise it is just confusing and silly.

How about Coffee, Tea, or Me Tuesday?

Is Kagan playing her own "Don't ask, don't tell" game ?

Seriously folks, there will be gay issues before the Court.

Funny that the identity politics people want to play the game this way.

However, they are distracting everyone from the truth.

What is the truth ?

.

this issue really annoys Noacoler

However, isn't this situation political correctness running wild ???

Is this all about her losing the "don't ask, don't tell" court case ?

I don't like any of Mr Cillizza's titles. I prefer this for tomorrow's Pennsylvania special election:

"Democrats - Burned to a Critz"

Go Tim Burns!!!!

Why would I spy on VN, burnout? Spy on what? Spy for whom?

On the contrary. We count among our friends a relatives numerous people high in the provincial government, including several cops, including one guy who could get us waved through customs should we want. We don't, we've nothing to hide.

And the Vietnamese government just adores foreign expats bringing in money.

Now why don't you smoke another hunk of crystal and shriek about Kagan's sexuality some more, you brain-charred loser.

Republican Rising! news is all stale...
hey howzabout another Dino Rossi!! piece.

After all it has been a whole week...oh, ouch...well, the news is bad so we'll just skip that.

"Grumbling in GOP land about Dino
Posted by Andrew Garber
There's grumbling in the Republican ranks about Dino Rossi taking so long to declare whether he'll run against Democratic U.S. Sen. Patty Murray.

A letter apparently written by Clark County Commissioner Tom Mielke was e-mailed to GOP officials, and reporters, over the weekend complaining that Republicans "have the ability to take this seat in the Senate away from the Democrats, but Rossi's failure to make a decision has badly hurt our chances."

Mielke is a supporter of Don Benton, a state senator who has already declared his candidacy again Murray. I have a call out to Mielke.

His letter set off a chain reaction of e-mails by party officials, some agreeing and some not.

Mathew Manweller, chairman of the Kittitas County Republican Party, and a Rossi supporter downplayed Mielke's letter, saying, "this is hardball politics. You have a Benton backer saying I'm really upset at that Dino guy."

Still Manweller said the letter represents some frustration within the party.

"I don't think this is completely manufactured," he said. "People want to know, Dino, if you're in, great we want to help you. If you're not, I'd like to help somebody else so let me know. Those are fair concerns."

Manweller said Rossi should make a decision soon. "I think Dino probably has to make a decision here and let people know within a week or so, or the milk is going to sour."

Some of the e-mail thread sent to reporters is on the jump..."

How about calling tomorrow nothing - tomorrow means little in the vast world out there.

Naocoler going to Vietnam, and getting arrested for spying - that would actually improve peoples' lives.

You decide.
